Meusoc-ish with Ceiner GI .22 upper and an old SWR Warlock:

Another Ceiner, this time the Hi Power Plus, with adjustable revolver style rear, but it's ammo picky, works flawlessly with regular ammo, but doesn't cycle reliably with Remington subs. Just picked up some Aguila 40g subs, so fingers crossed they might work.

Just got my CZ Shadow 2 back from Primary Machine for milling. They did a FANTASTIC job and it's nice how specific their SRO milling is. They mill out a tiny little section where the SRO hood sits, so you can mount it lower. Fit and finish is great. Decided to try a two tone cerakote since they don't charge extra, and I really like it. This gun shoots like a dream.

@Gustav7

If they cut for a rear iron sight I’d have to consider using them.

I don't think most places like doing that. I called a few lol. I could see it with the RMR (it was you who used to have one right? if not someone on here did), but I can't imagine where they'd get the room with an SRO. Unless they're really push it all the way back or forward and slammed a glock sight in there. I feel like the hood of the SRO takes up the space where a sight could go. Now on my P01, I have the trijicon plate w/ rear sight on it, and that works great. This isn't a carry gun so didn't feel the need for the extra expense. Plus, with the front sight still visible, it's not hard to make solid shots with this thing when the dot is off.

Here's that relief cut and how low they got the SRO. They do require you to send the optic.

@Gustav7 Yes that was me. I just bought another S2. CGW cut my previous one and put in a Glock rear sight.

My problem is that I‘m wanting an enclosed emitter optic.

It seems like either I’ll end up using a HS 508T with buis or an enclosed design with no rear sight.

Can you by chance post a picture looking through your SRO to your front sight (like if you needed to use the SRO as a rear sight). Trying to visualize this.

The 509T and Acro optics are both very durable, so maybe I can get away with no rear sight.

Ya no problem. I tried it out again today with the SRO. Essentially I just used the SRO like a big peep sight and used the front site for left/right alignment and relied on my grip and fundamentals to do the rest.

The Present Arms fixtures are really great.

@Gustav7

THANKS YOU! I’m saving that picture for reference! How much of the factory front sight do you see in the glass? Is it like a 1/3 ”co-witness”?

No problem. The way I hold the gun, and with how low Primary Machine milled the pocket, I see pretty much the entire front sight. I just did some dry fires out of the holster and paid attention and I'm seeing 95-100% of the front sight. After shooting today, any regret I had about not spending an extra $200+ on the BUIS setup is gone. This combo is solid, and I can still make hits at self defense ranges without the dot at all. With practice, you could probably extend that range easily.

...at a LGS they had various RDS on display and I was surprised at how "small" one of the Holosun models was compared to the RMR, RMRc, Vortex & Delta. My initial thought was it would be a good pairing with my 1911's due their short, narrow stance. I'd like to see the dots optioned in green as well.

Here's a few Smith&Wesson's Revolers I bought over the last 5months. Just picked up a 1984 586 that was in great shape. Here's a pictures.

New Shadow 2. CZ Custom hammer and trigger. Trigger reduced and serrated by Tim Wong of idle_mind_innovations (IG) and some MCarbo springs. Interested to see what the pull weight is now.

Current EDC riding in a Trex Arms Sidecar 2.0.

I found this pristine orphaned round butt Model 29-4 3" highly polished in blue, unfluted cylinder, .44 mag with factory Pachmayr grips, case-colored trigger / hammer. Mfg. in 1989, 1 of 2532.
The 629 Backpacker now has a companion.

I have Q5. Mine does jam 1/100. Did yours come with the Leopoldo or RMR cut?
Mine came with all of the plates, but I recently switched it and my Q4 tac to the c&h low pro plates with irons. It's been awhile since I've shot it but it usually runs great

Thanks
I haven’t seen a shadow 2. Your photog skills are superb.
They are fantastic pistols that can really cover all bases. While they can be a bit uncomfortable for appendix carry, it works.

Pictures were taken with a standard Iphone 12 mini and one of the factory installed filters, nothing special. Thanks though!

This is not mine but I wish it was; different versions of the FK-Brno. Does anyone have any experience with this pistol? Is it as good as the reviews and videos say it is?

I've got one and the 9mm conversion barrel. Had issues with the S95 jacketed hollow point ammo and F5 ammo, earlier manufactured stuff. Primers were on the harder side and had about a 25% failure rate with them. They all fires on the 2nd strike except for a handful that took 3 strikes. I've had 0 issues with newly manufactured ammo, which was provided by FK as a replacement for the bad batch of ammo I had been sold. They've fixed the ammo issues as far as I've experienced and others experienced.

The 7.5FK F5 ammo is a pretty heavy hitter and at 40yds put craters in a 3/8" steel target. For reference, M855 makes a similar crater at 100yds from my 18" AUG.

Put a Trijicon RMO6 3.25 on it and zeroed at 25yds per FK instruction book and it shot a little high an left at 100yds. I am not a spectacular pistol shooter, kinda meh but not terrible and at 100yds I can make hits 50/50 on a 2/3 sillouhette unsupported. The trigger is comparable to something like the geissle G2S trigger, a decent 2 stage, nice break and a shorter reset than I had on my CZ 75B. The grip does not really feel oversized either, pretty decent.

The 9mm conversion is hilarious, federal HST 124 +p is so little recoil it's ridiculous. I can run a plate rack faster with 124 +p in the FK than I could with a mild 115 load out of my 75B.

Here's the bad,

The gun needs cleaned pretty frequently, mostly for reliability with the 9mm conversion. As it gets dusty and dirty on dry windy days it will fail to lock back on last round and start stove piping. Replacing the tungsten weight with a lighter place holder would probably help with that a little bit. I weighed the slide on a freon scale accurate to .5oz and the FK slide and weight are almost heavier than the bolt and recoil rod/spring in a CZ scorpion Evo.

The 7.5FK ammo is $1.50/rnd. I guess you could argue that it is essentially "match grade" or "high performance" ammo not unlike rifle ammo. If you compare it to a similar 300 black out round, it's not entirely out of line for either a reliable 95 grain jacketed hp (S95) or 95 grain solid copper HP (F5). And the F5 round IS comparable to a 8" 300 blackout shooting super sonic ammo in the 100-110 grain class.

The older 7.5FK ammo is unreliable, but so far the new stuff is spot on and performs as you'd expect 1.50/rnd ammo to perform.

Aftermarket is still lacking. The best place I've seen for holsters for the gun is from Falco. Haven't seen any other holsters that I've been happy with yet.

I've enjoyed the gun immensely and think it's worth the price of admission personally. There is also a 10mm auto/40S&W conversion. I don't have it but plan to as soon as it's in stock.

A Ruger Bisley 45 Colt i put together from a 4-5/8 Blackhawk. Its an amazingly versatile cartridge with historical panache. It's a handful with 325gr cast handloads using John Linebaugh data. One of my favorite wheelguns.

2011 is a Staccato P DUO is running an RMR/X300U. I run it in the HSGI belt on the range some but it is primarily my EDC pistol carried in the Tier1Concealed Axis.
1911 is a Nighthawk Custom GRP Recon. Running 10-8 Performance grips and blacked out rear sight and an X300U.

The best is the kind that stays put but you can get off quick. IMO you can't beat the Ferro Bison Belt.
