Wouldnt be surprised if there is some connection.

Issue is, people like the easy button for everything.

Putting some overly energetic kid on prescription meds is easier than spending time putting that energy to use.

Can't pay attention in class, easy button...use meds instead of spending the time.

Easier said then done I suppose, both parents working, tired as shit when they get home. Etc.

Perhaps just casualties of a modern, progressive society....

they should push parenting instead of pills, but lazy parents probably jump at the idea that it isn't their fuck up, and the kid "needs pills".
i just watch a documentary about the drugging of america and how kids are just easy to convince that they are "depressed" and need drugs.

Parenting for the most part went away in the 80s. No need to parent when you can drug you kids and set them in a corner.
