Its just gotten real where I live. There is NO public water available where I live at the moment, no announcement. No flushing toilet, no shower. Our local water source announced rolling outdoor watering two days ago, but today there is NO water available. This is being blamed on Texas heat and "excess" outdoor watering. This is what happens when you have public water. They said they should have water later in the day and at the latest tomorrow...but at the moment the tower is empty.
Edit: We have had triple digit heat for the last few days with indexes around 114, but we had 100 straight days with over 100 degree heat in the past without losing water...something is up. This water hasn't been drinkable for years either.

I just had an "irrigation well" put in for this very reason. County would not allow me to put it in and call it drinking water well, but it has to be deep enough to drink regardless. So if this happens where I am, I will be tying it into my main supply line and cutting off the county.
