London Planning ‘Destruction’ of Russian Bridge - Ukraine MP

Plans have been drawn up to strike the crossing which connects Russia and Crimea across the Kerch Strait, according to lawmaker Aleksey Goncharenko - who claimed to have discussed the plans with the UK Defence Secretary Ben Wallace.

Goncharenko originally made the claim on Russian TV but has since posted it on social media along with a picture of him with UK PM Boris Johnson and Wallace at a NATO meeting.

Ukraine had originally dismissed plans to attack the landmark, but it is now thought to be a primary target once weapons from the West are received. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has expressed confidence that the plans were doomed to failure.
