I am reloading and shooting some 1960s or 70s Norma 357 brass today. I got this from the estate of a man I never met, but I bought his entire reloading setup several years ago. His last load written in his book was from 1967.

He had good tastes too. I got a bunch of LE Wilson, Brown and Sharpe, and RCBS stuff. I am glad he took care of it so well. This stuff we use will likely outlast us.

My FIL just brought me another cash of ammo he found in a vehicle sold for scrap. Last time it was 3/4 of a box of 32 ACP kleenbore ammo, and a coffee can full of 30/30win and 30/40 Kraig.. This time, it was a box of mixed 22-250 and 223 reloads will moly bullets. Three boxes of Wolf 223 1.5 filled with reloads and 1.5 still with steel case. A factory box with 270 reloads in it, about 8 nickel plated 357s with hoolowpoints and two with shot capsules, and a brand new box of 45ACp S&B ammo. I have 223 and 22-250 but don't have balls to shoot scrap yard reloads out of them. I guess I just put them in cabinet with a skull and cross bones on them. Not the 32ACP cleanbore, its up on the mantel.

^^^^Just get yourself an RCBS collet bullet puller die and collets for the diameter of bullets you use and pull the reloads apart to salvage the components. I recently bought one of these dies, and it is slicker than snot on a doorknob with how much better of a setup it is than those damned kinetic bullet puller hammers.

After buying a kinetic bullet puller and a collet bullet puller I can definitively say; the only use a kinetic bullet puller has is for hitting yourself in the nuts for buying a kinetic bullet puller.

Back in the 80's I was a little kid. My dad and a buddy of his bout an old mans reloading setup and split it. I remember reloading with my dad back then on the RCBS Rock Chucker. Now I reload on it at my house.

Buddy of mine was looking into reloading. This was a couple years ago just as the bad times for reloading were hitting.
Another buddy of ours that has kind of mentored us some had a friend who died and left him a ton of stuff. This guys already got multiples of everything. So he brought it to work and unloaded the whole setup on the first guys toolbox.
The guy who died, his name was Cliff. They carved Cliff into the aluminum body of the priming tool on the Rockchucker. That way every time he pulls the handle he can say "Thanks Cliff"

I got a bunch of loaded ammo marked IMR 4064 bullets are corroded into the necks so I can’t even hammer them out lol. They look fine, but I was hammering one out and it barely moved and I saw green. Wouldn’t really trust them anyway who knows what’s really in them.

After buying a kinetic bullet puller and a collet bullet puller I can definitively say; the only use a kinetic bullet puller has is for hitting yourself in the nuts for buying a kinetic bullet puller.

That gave me a bad case of the lolz

Didn’t he get his start buying surplus WWII powder by the ton and packaging it?

I load mid range wad cutters for my 52-2 and than shoot them in my J, M19, and M27-2.

Not much killing power but fun.

Yeah I loaded epoxy coated lead to about 1000 FPS. Just fun and accurate, I could hit a 6” plate at 100’ with them all day long!

They didn't offer trade but I kinda figured if the can has survived this long there is a good chance it is the last one out there and maybe should go back to the family of the guy who sent it out.

And yes, they did repack and sell WWII powders for a start.

They built munitions in Grand Island too. I had ancestors that worked there. I still have some brass hammers that came out of their plant.
