Its 1939!

I think this things sounds better the more it has been used and warmed up and the speaker regains some flexibility....

Half expecting to hear a newsman break in "This from Pearl Harbor, US Territory Hawaii, The Japs have just bombed the US Naval Base. Repeat the Japs have bombed the US Navy. The United States is at war!"

@buffalowinter this ones for you.....

Wait for it.....

Poor Barry.....certainly lived a life of excitement. His Casca book were dogged eared getting passed around the barracks in 3/8 circa 1986-87.

I have a 40s Motorola. Years ago we had a local oldies station that only played music from 30s - 50s, and that was one of the few channels it received well. My daughter came into my shop one day and asked if it played anything else. I told her no, the old tubes could only receive old music. She was absolutely convinced that was true. Sad part? She was 17 at the time. :)

I have a couple of WWII Era general coverage receivers. They are HEAVY! If you pick one up you will know why they are called boat anchors.

I haven't played with the other bands yet.

In the short time I did I received Radio Marti, and some Asian stuff, couldn't understand any f it.

Is she blonde?

I told my daughter so many times that she was having a blonde moment that she now catches when she does it. She will say "I was having a blonde moment" or "I was about to have a blonde moment"

I have one identical to this one. I brought it back from Kansas back in 77.
