=============================================================================================

@wigwamitus and myself have been learning, using and shooting the ClipIR product line for a couple months now with great success. Some of our experiences have been documented on this thread starting with post 159. Reach-out to us if you care to plunge into the details. Testing is a continuous process and we're always happy to share our knowledge, as well as lessons learned.

To summarize my favorite features:
  • Collimated Optic
  • Manual Focus
  • Shuttered NUC
  • Display Off Feature
  • Reticle (great for dialing out parallax)
  • 10 Yr Warranty
  • FOV options for every shooter
  • Sensor Prioritization
  • Rugged
  • 50BMG Rated
If you're interested in the EOTECH line-up, feel free to give us a ring, or click the links below. As always, we appreciate your continued trust and support.

ClipIR -- Short Range Optic

ClipIR-LR -- Medium Range Optic

ClipIR-XELR -- Long Range Optic

Ps. I'm going to take a video of all 3 units looking at the same stationary objects at varying magnification ranges to give users a feel for each units potential. More to come on this front.

I purchased an LR from SOK and couldn’t be more pleased. (There will ALWAYS be room for improvement in thermal devices) but these are absolutely what I’ve been waiting for.

SOK has been responsive to my countless questions (before and after the sale). I had a LWTS-LR right before I got the LR from SOK. There’s no comparison in clip-on mode (I haven’t tried stand alone yet). The Eotech ClipIr-LR is somewhere around 2X as capable at distance.

This price/performance ratio couldn’t even be imagined when I bought my first thermal 7 years ago, and ten years of warranty on an electronic device is insane! Thanks!!!!!!

I will echo Evolution 9's sentiments. I have purchased several high dollar items from SOK and the ClipIR-LR is tops. Much better than the TigIR and I would dare to say very close if not equal to my older HISS. (and a hell of a lot lighter!). The CLipIR-LR is smaller and much lighter than I thought it would be. If you pick one up be sure to have 1.5"ish (standard) mounts and parallax adjustment on your day scope helps a ton. I'll be testing this more with a USO Foundation 1.8-10 and Zeiss V8 1.8-14 when they get here, both with side parallax. Scopes 13" and shorter are a big plus as well.

I have tried this on three rifles, all had REPEATABLE and CONSISTENT POI shift of 0.5 mils left at 100 yards. A 300WM, a 6mm Arc and a 17 Rem. Five clicks on each scope tested and back to zero. I can live with that. Mount the clip on, five clicks right and dead on.

Pics for your enjoyment...

Jeff

We anticipate shipping out majority of our XELRs this month, but as luck would have it, we have a few left over.

If you're interested in a unit, either sign up for notifications on our product page, or PM/call and we'll waitlist you.

We have ClipIR and ClipIR-LRs in stock as well.

Thanks,
Preston

We still have a few left unspoken for out of the second shipment. Let us know if you are ready to sign up for one !!

bump, let us know if any questions about the ELRs !
( we also have some LR and MR demo units in stock for cheap prices ! :D and can get new MR or LR via backorder quickly)

Effective day scope magnification range (sweet spot-max usable IMHO) / FOV at 100yds - as measured in the field by us:

ELR - 12x-20x / 8.5 yds low end of effective mag range ( 3x )
LR - 8x/12x / 14 yds (2x)
MR - 6x-10x / 21 yds (1.7x)

so, MR is good for lpvo on stoner type rifle for walking and stalking type hunting at short to medium distances where you might be facing multiple critters or face snap shots at short distances.

ELR is good for yotes in large, flat cut fields where typical shot will be over 300yds and some shots will be over 500yds

LR is a good compromise between the two if you move around a lot and are in highly varied terrain.

When you say "cheap" prices:D

If you can buy it off the website, we still have them in stock (ELR, LR and MR). Note still a few demo units for the MR and LR as well.

LR capable on IPSC sized to how far roughly?

ELR is the current, reigning Mac Daddy of thermal clipons. Nothing else out there comes close, unless you don’t mind spending 5x the price and getting a visit from some well-dressed Alphabet Bois — then you can get better.

Love mine!

1 ELR and 1 MR remain !
( see links above )

I have not added anything new to my night time gear in a while. ELR looks very nice but not willing to sell one of my organs on the dark web. The Steiner C35 looks interesting. Is this something you think might be a good choice? Or do you think paying a little more for another unit would be worth the scratch?

Organ for ELR is better deal.

That’s why they invented dialysis.

1 ELR 1 LR and 1 MR available.

ELR Black Friday sale continues until our last unit sells!

LR and MR are discounted on the website. If you call in you might get a little more something something 😁

Realistically, how far can you shoot with an XELR? Say mounted on a 300 win mag.

Really depends on more than just the clip-on and rifle.

Known distance or do you have a weapons mounted LRF with AB?
What distances can you go 5 for 5 during the day? Then come down off that number at night
How large or small is your target?
Do you need to PID your target or are you shooting steel?

The same day-time complexities exist at night, and then some.

We have done nearly 1,300 yards on a IPSC style plate using a 300NM, 2 shots, 2 impacts. Square range type deal.
