Captain Jack, and three other warriors after surrender, were executed by the US Army, for the murder of major general Canby.

"Kintpuash was initially against the scheme to kill the peace commissioners, who were meeting with the Modocs to negotiate an end to the war, but consented when it became clear to him that the other warriors supported the action. When the time came, he was the first to open fire, shooting the stunned general in the face."

I get to snag these blades at our local recycling place, the mill guys normally chop them into 6'-8' chunks. I've made a lot of stuff out of them.
Couple of pictures of euro mount stand, sign for cabin. I made a bunch of “ finish” saws for my woodworking buddy’s.

Quentin Mouton. “These pictures were taken 2nd October 1964. I was the pilot. The pictures are original and not ‘touched up’.
The story: The previous night in the pub one of them had said:
“Julle dink julle kan laag vlieg maar julle sal my nooit laat le nie”(You think you can fly low, but you will never make me hit the deck)
“When I had passed he found himself flat on the ground.
