That is like the perfect Boulder. I don't think Hollywierd special effects could do better.I'm sorry ma'am, looks like you chose to decline Boulder coverage with your policy.
Better luck next time.
Yep.Someone's Gen Liab is about to take a hit. That's definitely from someone up hill breaking rock. Supposed to make a ditch in front that the rock can't jump when doing that stuff
For sure she'd be dead. That's a 500-700lb rockYep.
That was a lucky lady, 2 more steps and she would have been flattened.
I worked with rock for years, I'd guess close to double that...unless it's volcanic.For sure she'd be dead. That's a 500-700lb rock
Its a big Ole chunk whatever it is. We all know better than to start breaking rock on a big hill or mountain without something to catch the rock. I had a house on the top of red mountain here in bham where we had to remove about 7' of limestone across the entire length of the house and retaining wall and I stayed nervous the entire time looking at all of bham below imagining something like that happening. Of course I dug a big ditch across the front then another below it to catch any rocks that got away from us. Still not something I like to do on a mountainI worked with rock for years, I'd guess close to double that...unless it's volcanic.
Its Hawaii. Of course it's volcanic.I worked with rock for years, I'd guess close to double that...unless it's volcanic.
Your post caused me ot do a bit of research. there are ten types of volcanic rock, from the really light fluffy stuff (pumice) I usually think of, to basalt and granite, which are really hard, dense, and heavy. As an aside, obsidian is much harder than surgical steel and is used for surgical scalpels. Its Hawaii. Of course it's volcanic.
He did something Im not sure I could have done.Aron Ralston: "Hold my beer!"
I knew what you meant but it was still funny. If you look carefully it appears more grey and pocked. Likely not obsidian.Your post caused me ot do a bit of research. there are ten types of volcanic rock, from the really light fluffy stuff (pumice) I usually think of, to basalt and granite, which are really hard, dense, and heavy. That sucks… hope he isn’t homeless or hurt or lost everything! His house caught on fire.
We're fine, house is going to get gutted and restored. Currently in a hotel, might get moved to a rental property...kind of think that will happen, sounds like it's going to take a few months to repair. I started a thread in this section last night. That sucks… hope he isn’t homeless or hurt or lost everything!
Thanks for the update.
Sirhr
About 80 mph i would say..not factoring in the weight and size of the vehicle.Neighbor down the road had a crackhead drive through his garage and push their suburban through the kitchen wall last weekend. She sheared a telephone pole clean in half prior to slamming into the garage. Anyone care to wager how fast you have to be going to do that
Missed that... sorry to hear that ameego! Hope you guys get through this without too much PITA.We're fine, house is going to get gutted and restored.
