The website states the lead time is 4+ months for NEW orders. We still are on track to begin shipping the early orders within the 8 weeks initially stated.
That’s actually pretty amazing to me. Good job with the pre-planning on your part. Mine’s a LA though, so I know that I’m in for a wait. I’m totally good with that though, as I’m in no hurry for my next project. I know how it works with pre-orders of new products and would much rather receive a well vetted product.
Since 419 sold out so quick, does anyone have a CAD/STL file out there to 3D print a single shot style mag for an AICS or AW mag?
If you have a printer it would at least get you sighting in at a range while you wait on the cheaper mags to come back in stock.
Edit: wonder how well this would work in an action cut for AW mags:

Something like this for the Lapua Case size would hopefully work. I assume, maybe incorrectly, that the extra width of the lapua single feed lips would be wide enough for the bottom bolt lug to purchase the case head.
Obviously bottom metal for this type of mag would be required but I believe (have confirmed) the LA Cadex Chassis are already able to utilize them.

That’s all well and good, but they are still only 5 rounds for .338LM, same as available CIP SSSF mags albeit about 3/8” shorter.
Appreciate that. I do want to print one since i have a printer in the basement and was looking for a fast "have it in hand to shoot" situation vs. buying and ordering something.
I'll likely print that and try it on a BO M2013.

I think I read somewhere that the feed lips on the 338 sized AX mags had enough curvature/purchase to feed .535 (specifically 300 PRC) rounds.. How reliably though is another question..
I spent about an hour on the phone with Ted today regarding finalizing the CDG headspace configuration. Based on that conversation things are settled such that I can take orders and we will hold chambering and tenons until the finalized print comes from ARC.
We will do the following on the orders:
I cannot guarantee that a hard and fast ship date can be met. If Ted hands me a print tomorrow the expected lead time is 6-8wk as usual, which involves the work listed above. If they don't give me a print for another 3 weeks then it gives me time to knock out the preliminary work and we'll go in a holding pattern.
The website inventory is current and updated so there's nothing for sale that doesn't have a blank to back it right now. We will work through as much of the metal cutting as possible right away to minimize overall lead time once we have the information to finish out the barrel.

I'm really excited about this. however I plan on going for a shorter barrel in a MPA Matrix Pro chassis and the 18" option is a bit longer than I want but I'm afraid the 16.5" may be too short. Also, which has the better average accuracy? The cut rifled rock creek barrels or the osprey barrels? If I go pva for the cdg, which blank has better accuracy?
Both will provide similar accuracy. Osprey will be cheaper
Rock is cheaper.
Think rc is cheeper for button rifled but cut rifled is more. Not by a ton though... if there was an accuracy difference or barrel life difference id rather go that route.
Didn’t realize he carried cut RC barrels. You can’t go wrong with any. I would suggest OBW as the Jet4 is the best damn brake on the market.
I've owned all three (Osprey, Rock Creek cut and button) along with Hawk Hill and Spencer from PVA. All of them have been great shooters with consistent chambers and headspace. No worries.
We are bringing the CDG on board as a standard prefit option. It's a "pre-order" with the free brake until Ted supplies that print to me. Then it becomes just a regular order. I don't know when the print is going to come in from ARC. It could be this afternoon, it could be next week. I'll announce when I have it.

Yes, there's a little bit of mystery to it. I don't know when the print arrives, so how long will the pre-order go for? 'Only the owl knows'... (if you're old enough to get that joke we can be friends)
The Osprey blanks last longer and I've been telling people for 18+ months that we will put them up against anything else out there, they're exceptionally good barrels. They have several PRS wins, a bunch of local F class wins, and I have a couple of former and current Olympic shooters taking them to the NRA National Matches this year. Different steel that's comparable to the Mod400BB that Bartlein brought out. We're seeing barrel life in 6Creeds that actually makes the numbers George told everyone they would get when the 6 Creed was adopted... ~3000 rounds.
There are no RC blanks available. We haven't had them for over a year at this point, they stopped taking orders unless your name is Seekins or Barrett.

If the long-action CDG will feed from a CIP double-stack mag, I'll buy a Xylo cut for those mags the second they go on pre-buy. Personally, looking to build a 300 Win Mag first that I can switch out to 300 Norma Mag at some point if I feel the need.
@bohem looking to order shortly, but need info on this
300NM is a very low running caliber and the reamer we have for it is setup for custom throating, so I don't offer it as a drop down selection because most folks want to shoot a specific bullet and it involves the custom throating. It's something that has a high tendency to become a boomerang when the order is placed online without a conversation.
