Mcmillan stock question?

Is it normal to have to shim the trigger guard? I have a rem 700 with hawkins prescription dbm, and it binds a little when tightened down. The rear of the trigger guard also recesses up in the stock quite abit?

Most people bed them which takes care of height and torque issue. Not surprising to see a less than perfect stock inlet.

Does that bottom metal not come with pillars?

It does come with pillars, but the stock is already pillar bedded.

You need to do some measuring but you probably need to replace the pillars that are in the stock with the ones that came with the bottom metal.
