Who remembers 'The Beave'?

I still watch that show every day......
It was such a better time back then.
Beaver was supposed to meet Uncle Billy at the sporting goods shop the other day. He was asking the clerk if anyone matching Uncle Billy's description had been in the shop. While talking to the clerk, you couldn't help but notice the wall of rifles and shotguns behind him. They would never show such an evil thing today.
Then the episode when the class was working on the 'American Revolution' in history. Beaver had to make a poster and he painted Paul Revere. A couple other kids brought in objects relating to the time period. Henry brought in an actual Kentucky long rifle. Miss Landers was really impressed and showed it to the class. Can you imagine that today ?
Such a shame..........

I used to watch it as a kid...in the 80s as reruns. I enjoyed it and remember thinking how "boring" life seemed back then. Now I realize that was probably America's best years.

Season 6, Episode 18, "More Blessed to Give?". In this one June says to Ward, "I hope you weren't too hard on the Beaver?" to which he replies he replies "No, not at all".

The Married with Children episode that had the Beaver actor on it was hilarious.

When I'm not working I usually watch it because it comes on at 7am before Perry Mason.

A staple of growing up in the 50’s & 60’s. Think Ward was a Seabee …his character.
Eddie Haskell …always a smart ass in every neighborhood like him.
Think he was retired from the LAPD ?

I only watch those old 60s and 70s shows and The history Channel today.

My oldest son had a friend that had to be Eddie Haskel's son. Yes sired, yes ma'amed us to death. Overheard him smack talking a few times.

Unreal expectations for the entire run of the series. If I would have done just a small sample of trouble the Beaver got into, my Dad would have taken off 3 or 4 layers of skin from my backside.

I believe he was a deputy sheriff in the county.

It's actually a pretty decent show.

My little girl and I would watch a handful of episodes of it every evening after supper on one of the streaming services... Don't remember which service now.

My wife would roll her eyes. But it was clean and there was usually a bit of a moral... And Ward Cleaver wasn't made out to be an incompetent boob like most husbands are portrayed as nowadays.

Mike

Nope.
There were lawsuits over that.
Osmond testified in his disability hearing that he was called in by internal affairs in the LAPD, to "prove" he wasn't John Holmes by showing the goods.
He was a motorcycle cop with LAPD.
I remember that. Crazy rumors about him being Jonny Wad, and the beaver being killed in Vietnam.

Yeah. "Father Knows Best" is... for some reason... always playing on the oldies channel whenever I go to the VA. These shows are an odd time capsule.

But ya wanna know what old show I really enjoy? "The Dean Martin Show". That guy was the King of Cool. The Dean Martin roast specials were also very funny without being vulgar.

Sanford & Son or Amos & Andy ….or Green Acres and Beverly Hillbillies.
If you can’t decompress and laugh with those…you might have an issue. ✊🏻
