What is this red crystal ball wizardry mounted in front of the scope?

It looks to be mounted to a rotating and articulating arm.

I wonder if this is one of those shooters who is trying to avoide or reduce the undesirable effects of a bad shooting position (or bad recoil management) by tuning the rifle.

Not everyone has a friend who'll help them figure out their mistakes.

Based on the clamp and the side pic rails, looks like a sikes clutch concept, but bigger and round.

You took a picture but didn't ask? Or are we competing for most creative wrong answer?😂

Maybe used by a shooter with a physical limitation to move the rifle around when shooting? Maybe that ball rotates?

It's a 6 dasher. It identifies as a real man's gun, so it has to assert dominance by adding balls to it to give extra impacts and argue with the spotter for calls as they are racist for persecution for being a trans rifle of colour.

It’s a grab ball. Used to pick up the rifle and roll out. I have one mounted on the wife’s back, just above the belt. She gets to acting up, snatch her up by the grab ball and we roll out. Get some strange looks as we exit, but WTF, gotta do what a man gotta do.
I so want this to be correct.... also, link to where I can get one for my wife?

Wonder if he used it to remind him to do something before shooting…..maybe set scope dope instead of shooting his zero or previous setting.

Just a visual reminder, who hasn’t set up and shot at 300 or some greater distance with their 100 yard zero.
