I got pretty good at notching and felling trees at one time, but I’d never try this. I’d have spent all day roping it down. I watched my brother do this with a 60’ Pin Oak, though. Walked out and laid his hat in the yard between the telephone pole and detached garage. He said that’s where the crown will hit. It was about 2 feet off! True story.

I think you're right. After blowing it up a bit I believe the one on the left in the pic is an 8. I called the Supt. that was on that part of the job and he thought we had an 8 on that hill as well. Good eye! Unless I got something else wrong as well??Count again.
