For page 4440, here's my 4440. Bought this in April. The hour meter said 4380 hours. The oil filter had the last oil changed at 4227 hours last year in July. It was built in 1981. Quad Range transmission.

That was a morning oil check three weeks ago. That oil has had 50 hours of PTO RPM, and it still looks that clean.

105° outside and the temp gauge stayed in the middle of the green. I believe I got a good one. No computers, no DEF. It will probably live longer than I do.
Neighbor got a Kubota baler I’ve never seen round bales so tight, other neighbor lost a Deere combo like that a few weeks ago. Drove it in the pond to keep the whole county from burning down.

Must be nice to have some hay to roll up! Pretty much nothing in our side of North Texas.

If that baler catches fire, and if I can't get that fire put out, I have a 3 pound hammer in the tool box on the tractor. Drive out the hitch pin, and pull off from the baler.

I can get another baler, but replacing the 4440 with one just as good would be extremely difficult.

I'm 1 mile into Fannin County from the Hunt County line.

46" of rain 15 August 2022, to 11 July 2023.

But that 11 July rain was the last one I had. The ground has big cracks. Par for the course, summer in North Texas.

I'm from Collin.

All these out of state sumbitches moving in, ran me out of Collin. They can have it!

Ten years ago, the acreage I bought in Fannin, was 1/10 the price of Collin County land.
Don’t blame y at all, that place is a nightmare. It’s starting here as well. I’m planning an exit strategy. I’m headed out west!

Today I was on a hike with friends. I was at the front with my buddy's kid. Rest were about 20-30 yards behind us. This thing was crossing the trail between us. 2-3' long. Either I stepped over it or it was trying to cross after we passed.

Despite my normal judgment, Snaky went on his happy way with head still attached.

I don't watch NASCAR, but the crashes are entertaining.

Was watching that last night. Dozing off in bed, figured I would watch the end and switch off the TV. Then this happened...woke me right the fuck up. I was anticipating them dragging a tarp across the car. Very happily surprised he got out of the car more or less under his own power. One of the most violent wrecks I've ever seen. The HANS device saved his life, no doubt in my mind

Honey doesn’t spoil. They have excavated jars of honey from Egyptian era that was still tasty 😋
That honey will still be good long after our current Pharaohs are being dug up. Dug up by whoever is still around after they try to eradicate humanity.

But the date still seems kind of random. Is it bad in February of 4417?

The shit is going to be somewhere between

“Ain't gonna need to tell the truth, tell no lie
Everything you think, do and say
Is in the pill you took today”

and

“You ain't gonna need your teeth, won't need your eyes
You won't find a thing to chew
Nobody's gonna look at you”.

Doubt it honestly...

HANS is great for a sudden forward STOP... It doesnt do much for side to side. Even HANS admits this. Thats not its design purpose.

This is my buddy...his passenger rear wheel broke and he ran it over and spun... he has a 6 point and a HANS, but no containment seat. This is a pretty benign incident... see how much lateral movement he has?

He now has a full containment seat.

A full containment seat with head restraint is likely what saved him.

FIA has some crazy data on head restraint seats. They are possibly as big a safety item as HANS, but for lateral body/head movement.

Its a huge reason I put a containment seat in my track car.

And that seat is small potato's compared to, im sure, what NASCAR is running with full up custom seats for each driver.
