it’s a blast to drive.
So are mopeds. 😃
What do you have?
I've been in the Dyno room with 1500 hp motors. I've sat on the starting line for many nhra top fuel runs and over 20,000 hp lighting off. I've been on the flight line with the goverments best fighters lighting off. I have 5 and 600 hp motors in my cars and there's just something about the feel of burning fuel that can't be matched by an electric motor.
I am not a hater. It's just not for me. Kinda like the tuner cars. I think what that segment of motorsports has done is cool. Maybe some day the electric will get the nerds to figure out how to make it a part of the wrenching in the garage scene? If that is possible.

I think it already is. I’ve seen the go stuff from wrecked Teslas put into other cars. I agree it isn’t for everyone. I’ll tell ya, quiet or not….1000hp Model S is incredibly incredible. Visceral, no….but spooky if that makes sense.

Live in an urban area and it’s a blast to drive.

Screw all the people running around saying “I bought the car because of the environment,” the thing is FAST (500HP/500ft lb ALL the time) and fun to drive. (Though, I won’t lie, it was sorta nice to have when gas was nearly $6/gal and I was paying $40 a month to charge the car.)
Which tells you all you need to know about electric cars up to this point. It's not about being "environmentally friendly", because if it was most of them would have 150 hp and get much better range. It's all about selling them to those who can afford them as status symbols

Set the cruise at 80 on the interstate and watch the hybrids and EVs fly by. I guess on their way to a climate change protest.

Which Tesla do you have?

I rode in a Model S, it was jaw dropping quick.
I have the slow one… the Model Y Performance.

The current Model S top-o-da-line has 1020HP and 1050FT/LB Torque…. It’s a whole ‘ other beast.

I watched one decide to go around everyone at a traffic light (yeah, being a dick), and from a standstill it was gone before anyone even started moving.

Yeah, my car is hold you in your seat. …but that was next level kinda crap. A TrackHawk can ruin me if the dude doesn’t step on the gas immediately, and of course at speed there is no comparison, but this was even nastier and instant. 1000HP immediately with instant torque.

Honestly, I’ve pondered getting an S Plaid… but two things stop me:

- My wife wanted her fully loaded F-150, and if I spend a $120+k on a Plaid before I get her that truck, I;m a dead man.

- I’d probably throw a blood clot and die due to the speed / g-forces ;)

I wouldn’t spend that on any car but doesn’t keep me from liking em.

Ive posted before that I’m at an age I prefer quiet and comfortable cars, if they’re fast too then more the better.
