Why was he armed in that interrogation room?

Even though he has a retention holster, proper protocol would be to have unarmed deputies actually positioning the inmate, and a couple of armed guys about 5 feet away monitoring the situation...
"Hmm, grabbing this cop's gun should help my situation."
Yeah right. I guess he decided prison salad tossing wasn't going to be in his future.
He knew this was the end one way or another. He even asked to be killed a few times during the scuffle.

More to the point, why didn't one of the other cops put one thru his brain pan....looks like he had the shot at one point and it would be hard to argue that this wasn't a legit shooting as he grabbed the gun.

I’ve watched more than my fair share of moobies, and that’s not how you do it.
We were prohibited from carrying in the Interrogation rooms...

It's just good common sense. Same as not letting a weaker person in there alone without the perp being cuffed properly.
You can't apply the laws of a moral society to a wild animal. The wild is the only thing the animal understands.
