1. "Israeli sensors/detection methods were compromised early on". So, a "compromised" sensor system DOESN'T mean that they're being imminently attacked ? JFC......

Your question is better formed by asking “who told them, who helped coordinate and why?”. How exactly did they know which area to go through? How did they know which areas were so lightly defended that they would have a high chance of success? I have yet to hear of failed breach attempts into Israel from Palestine. This is one of the most heavily guarded borders in the world, 24-7. Yet no effective force was around to respond? No QRF? Reservists were trying to catch buses to get to the base. What is one to conclude?
