Another pic I found but the images in that short video I posted are about the coolest I’ve seen. I’m sure that guy’s social media feeds are bonkers

And there are plenty of cool videos on the gootube about sun astronomy/Astro photography

Since some of you all like looking at images of the sun.

Here is the link to the website for daily SOHO satellite images. The different colors are emissions by various elements and show the sun’s surface at different depths. The grey one is most representative of the view you would get by looking through a solar filter

BLAST FROM THE PAST: The Henry AR-7 .22LR Takedown Survival Rifle.

Designed in the early 1950s and released in 1958, Henry's .22LR AR-7 Survival Rifle was originally meant for USAF pilots as a compact collapsible survival and hunting weapon for if they must bail their planes and were stranded in the wilderness. The gun soon became popular as a general plinking and all-around utility gun for the farm, camping, and the target range as well as small game and pest control and sales soared almost immediately after it's debut. The one feature that made the AR-7 stand out from the rest is that the entire gun can be disassembled and all of it's components stored in the buttstock which is designed to float. At the present day, the new and improved AR-7 retails in all big box outdoor supply stores for around $280.00 and is built with a neoprene inner lining inside the buttstock to provide even more water resistance and comes with 2 8-round magazines that also fit inside the whole assembly.

NOTE: If you think the AR-7 by itself is a complete survival rifle kit, think again. In the Hatchet series of novels by Gary Paulsen, the protagonist Brian managed to retrieve the crashed bush plane's AR-7 after fishing it out of the plane's submerged remains, only to find that the firing pin was broken and the rifle unusable, and him stranded hundreds of miles in the deep northern Canadian forests. It is advisable to keep some spare parts and springs for this rifle, and ANY gun that you are using as your primary EDC and defense in another small watertight plastic case like those used for storing toiletries for airline flyers and keep that handy too. Being unprepared KILLS.

I have an original Armalite AR-7 still in the original shipping box. The postage label is dated 1960.

I don’t remember what I was doing in 1992 but Cooper was making the only outer space movie made that year.

In the realm of cinema, there are moments when you stumble upon a truly remarkable creation that defies expectations, reaches deep into your soul, and alters the course of your life. Such an experience is incredibly rare, and I had the privilege of encountering such a cinematic masterpiece recently.

This film, a remarkable work of art that I can only describe as transcendent, has had a profound impact on my life. Directed by an extraordinary visionary, it unfolded before my eyes as an intricate tapestry of emotions, dreams, and profound contemplation. At its core, this cinematic masterpiece explores the boundless dimensions of human existence, blurring the lines between past, present, and future. The narrative intricately weaves together the stories of its central characters, each at different points along the spectrum of life, their experiences and aspirations converging in a beautifully intricate dance. Their quests for love, meaning, and purpose are portrayed with a poetic depth that transcends mere words. Instead, the film employs the universal languages of visuals, sound, and silence to convey its message.

The cinematography is a visual symphony, a testament to the director's exceptional vision. Each frame is meticulously crafted, with an ethereal quality that transports the viewer deep into the heart of the narrative. The use of light, color, and composition is nothing short of breathtaking, evoking emotions that resonate on a level words alone cannot reach.

The performances are nothing short of masterful. The cast, led by exceptional actors and actresses, delivers performances that are so raw, authentic, and emotionally charged that they leave an indelible mark on your soul. Their characters' journeys become intertwined with your own, and you find yourself empathizing with their struggles, hopes, and dreams.

Yet, what sets this film apart is not just its technical and artistic brilliance. It delves into profound themes of love, mortality, and the ever-expanding ripples of our actions. It challenges viewers to question the essence of their existence and the legacy they leave behind. This film has prompted me to reflect on the fragility of life, the significance of human connections, and the beauty in the fleeting moments that shape our lives.

As the credits rolled, I remained seated in the dimly lit theater, forever transformed. This cinematic masterpiece is more than mere entertainment; it is a life-altering experience that educates, inspires, and forces you to embark on a journey of self-discovery. It's a mirror that compels you to confront the choices you've made and those that lie ahead. This extraordinary creation reminds us that life is a fleeting, beautiful enigma that we must cherish and make the most of.

In conclusion, this cinematic masterpiece is an experience that transcends the boundaries of conventional entertainment. It is a profound meditation on life's mysteries and an invitation to introspection and personal growth.
