They are probably getting ready to switch from the drug making business into creating guns and gun parts. They are very aware of what is happening north of them, with the ATF banning simunitions and the ammo shortage and whatnot. The day that leftists manage to get real gun bans put into place in the US and Canada is when guns and heavier hardware are going to be flowing up north. If leftists are actually smart enough to foretell future consequences, they'd stop any attempts to push further antigun agendas. You want full on Class IIIs and open bolt blowbacks to flood a country, passing a gun ban is how you are going to get full on Class IIIs and Chechnya style Stens, Stirlings, and Luty SMGs everywhere. Indonesia and much of Southeast Asia passed draconian gun bans in the 1990s and earlier 2000s. Almost immediately, the arms in the hands of civilians turned from regular "sporting" and defense pieces into military and urban warfare grade ordnance and the gangs are only too happy to keep that trend going.
There has been ABSOLUTELY NO cases throughout history where a prohibition had actually been successful in stopping a banned item from proliferating. So staffs for regular farm scythes are then made with multiple angled receptors on the end. When word gets out that samurai are about to raid a village, local resistance fighters simply had to adjust the angle of a scythe blade on it's staff and in minutes, a scythe is transformed into a halberd or a hook blade for unhorsing and decapitating charging riders. If the McDojos here are teaching the real version of Karate instead of the neutered pop culture version, students would be sitting at workbenches learning how to machine and fabricate open bolt submachine guns and automatic pistols, not kicking and punching foam pads...
