Something kicking off in Israel

I got a great idea.

How about we not worry about Israeli military casualties and just let them take care of business.

Sitting there talking about weapons and strategies that may never be used seems kinda useless.

I suppose we could sit and worry about Russia nuking us but that doesn’t seem productive to me.

Deal with what’s happening on the ground right now.

Most intelligent thing he said is considering Gaza an open air prison.

Ok. But why is it one?

Gear or troop deployment?

I see a mixture of Salomon, Under Armour, and Nike in the pics. The very first pic looks like the white Under Armour logo on the tongue of the shoes. For high-speed tactical/hiking type boots, Salomon and Under Armour are pretty much the top of the pile.

Most interesting assertion is that Russia plans on pulling out of test ban treaty. So what? No one else bothers following it.

The world has gone through a lot worse without going nuke. Not seeing it Happening now.

Bibi referencing 1 Samuel. Unless someone pulls these intentions back this conflict is going at least regional.

"Netanyahu declaring invasion: "You must remember what Amalek has done to you, says our Holy Bible"

1 Samuel 15:3

"Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass""

'For Us There is One Objective: to Destroy Gaza': Fmr Israeli Ambassador Rejects Calls for Diplomacy

I believe he may have pulled an uncle Joe in that one. The general message I have heard was to destroy Hamas not Gaza.

If they actually have the goal of destroying Gaza not Hamas then they will be running into massive issues.

Speaking of the OT.

IF if the Jews had followed God’s command and not spared some folks I doubt we would be in this situation.

I have been teaching through Isaiah for the past year. The comment has been made more than once that the whole problem at that time in the OT was that they didn't stone the first one who started all the idol worship BS. It made them weak and open to all sorts of sinful probems that finally caused their judgement.

You may be right in your analysis. But I can tell you we suffer from the same thing all over the western world - we allow things into our cultures that do nothing but degrade our character, our morals and ultimately our countries. We have lost the ability to apply self-control and as a result cannot do the hard things we need to do, like say "no". It isn't just Israel.

You can go one step back from the first idol worshiper that was a Jew.

This entered through the rebellion of the Jews from Gods commands The Lord allowed them to suffer the temptation of fornicating and marrying the women and men that worshiped these idols, which they then married. Hence the introduction and practice of idols took root.

At least that is what I recall.

I could be off.

The sad thing is that the true damage from sin can only be seen in hindsight. As the temptation blinds us to the true repercussions of sin while one is committing it. It’s far more reaching than one can see.

It’s kind of like cancer. The longer it goes untreated the more difficult it can be to completely root out.

Thankfully we have been given the treatment and cure for it.

At least this is my experience thus far.

Edit: My biblical contribution for the week. 😂🤣😂

That many warships in one small area is just waiting for an "oops" to happen.
Well the interesting thing IMO is that Turkish fleet is a far greater threat to hezbollah than the USA fleet, Turkey has been fighting hezbollah via proxy sunni militias for a long time in Syria retaining defacto control of Idlib, Hezbollah gettiong destroyed would be a wet dream for Erdogan.

Instead of the Islam putting aside the sunni shia feud the exact opposite is happening. The players sense this one is for all the marbles and their actions reflect this. Erdogan with his particular goal of expanding sunni ottoman empire sees his opportunity to expand a "security zone" into Syria like he has been pushing for. Israel is a ally in this as they want iran shia control of their north border to end. Israel constantly expanding their borders is a model for Erdogan. Israel and Turkiye are strong allys via their goal of kicking shia iran out of the region.

Iran is worked up in much the same way. They see this as their "big chance" for shia to come to the top as a historical underdog. Sunni players see coming to the top as their rightful place historically. A unprecedented conflict for dominance has been created by current events. Iran has dropped all pretense of a amicable relationship with Saudi that has occurred in recent years. Sure they are getting worked up about Israel now but who are they getting more worked up about- Saudi. "saudis green flag will bow to the will of shia". Terhran views Saudi as the ultimate apostate via its participation in US dollar hedgmomy. Saudi is viewed as weak in will and faith but rich in money and resources by tehran. Part of irans huge and multi faceted inferiority complex where they have deep seated and near uncontrollable impulses to prove all things shia as worthy- including their military competency and their military technology. This inferiority complex is also a strong part of their enemity toward Israel. Judaism is not really viewed as a competitor compared to sunni region states. The second largest population of Jews in the world resides in iran. It is the state of Israel, its policies, and its participation in US dollar hegemony that is perceived as contrary to respect for shia that is the focus of tehrans ire much like their ire towads Saudi.

The stakes are now incredibly high in the sunni shia feud. They see each other as apostate and IMO their enmity over that is greater than their enmity for Israel. Each side sees the other side winning the prize of becoming the islam rock star that saves gaza as a unmitigated disaster and will do anything to prevent that. Anything. Nobody really gives a shit about sunni palestine. Turkey sees it at ragtag refugees not true sunni power players. Palestine is, well sunnis to shia iran, Palestine however holds the perceived key to islamic dominance. Edogan's fleet is deployed to assert sunni dominance by being perceived as the savior of palestine and if shia hezbollah gets blown to pieces by the USA carrier groups with a little covert or not so covert help of the Turkiye fleet so much the better too bad so sad.

They aren’t the same people. It is a deception. Christ says in Revelation 2:9 KJV - 9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

Are you saying the OT Jews were not Jews?

I agree and disagree.

Some if not most Jews have perverted their faith from those in the OT based it on. Like the different factions of Judaism in the time of Christ.

The same can be said of the Christian faith as well. Todays Christians are not the Christians from Christ’s time or just after.

Many claim to be Christians yet live in a perpetual state of sin while consciously choosing to disregard certain Commandments.

Estimated IDF control in northern Gaza. So far mostly farm land with an occasional building

I just came back from teaching a class. That place was busier than normal from what I've seen in the past.

On the news in DC Thursday night they didn't say the types of soldiers or units but that XXX amount of troops had been sent to Israel as of Thursday at 10pm per the local news media.

Well then, if you're so disappointed in us, please send all of our billions of dollars in "aid" back.
Gratitude matters. I hate the lack of appreciation - but it does show how much someone values you and your help. Somehow, no matter how much you help people like this, it’s always your fault when they fail. The best policy is to let them struggle and go under, maybe they will learn a lesson. But probably not. So the best path forward is to eject them from your orbit before you get dragged down with them. Exactly like Ukraine.

and they can pay China back for the loan and interest rate that we borrowed the money from to give them the aid!
Nah, we are going to print more money so we can continue to pay Ukraine government salaries AND pay Blackrock and others to rebuild what was destroyed. Of course, it wouldn't have gotten this far if we hadn't supplied the weapons, which are going to wind up not making a difference in the outcome it seems.

Yeah?

Or China and North Korea will lend-lease Moscow and Moscow will be rebuilding a fully captured Ukraine like they did Grozny.

Kill 5-10 million and rebuild. It's a scenario.

Fortify the Carpathians and Transnistria. Block the Bessrabian Gap. That would be like the 50th time this has happened historically.
I was talking about any Ukraine that is left as a neutral country. I fully expect Russia to rebuild their part.

i wonder where that money will come from.

This is the smartest move so far in a sea of stupidity, granted the bar isn't high at the moment. If Egypt doesn't take the offer and Israel goes through with destroying Gaza and almost everyone in it, the Muslim world may start to blame Egypt as well as Israel. Egypt gets its own series of targeting by non-state actors. If they do take the deal they get the IMF paid off but will spend at least that much over time dealing with the Pals. Catch-22.

No need to wonder they would shake down US taxpayer, not a shekel would come from own purse.

20 Billion actually would be a bargain, but i reckon Egypt would go on a spending spree that would run up that debt back in no time. Plus you would need another 10+ billion to build up a working city ,farms and bussines for displaced

There’s anyone out there dumb enough to “take out an IMF loan” these days? Good grief
Its a SOP for US allies as US controls IMF , Ukraine for example is neck deep in IMF loans for which US underwrote guarantees as Ukriane has no credit rating worth a dime , also remember when Biden was peddling a 1 billion IMF loan for removing a prosecutor investigating Burisma.

IMF is the Bank US administrations use when they can't secure money at home and when countries can't get loans anwhere, US taxpayers cover the collateral the administration pledged, usually long after the President that gave the loan guarantees is out of office.

They regime changed goverment of Pakistan for an IMF loan for arms deal
