Conversation from the future between a man and his GF:
GF: "Our six years together is almost here! A dinner out would be so awesome but the weather is miserable. Just snow for the last few days"...
Man: "How about a dinner with the Sun just rising in a clear sky? I've been wanting a change from this weather myself".
GF: "How? Where are we going to go to see that?"
Man: (Smiling broadly) "Oh I have it set up already. Bundle up. We are going to take the subway just 5 stops. To the spaceport. My Polaris is still in the repair bay but my Carrack is fueled up and ready to go. That's the one I use for UberFreight between Mars and Leonidas Station on Europa. It's got a nice living compartment between the bridge and the cargo bay for long haul trips. I set up a table there yesterday. We are just going to take off from the spaceport, set altitude for 40,000 feet over the city, and then lock hover mode and the geosync will make sure we are always at that spot over the city until we are ready to come back and I switch to manual control for the landing"...
I gotta give a HUGE shoutout to Roberts Space Industries, the creator of Star Citizen, for hitting this OUT THE PARK. Holy shit it is awesome beyond words.
Currently flying a Carrack in SC and an Anaconda, the KING of combat destroyers in Elite Dangerous with 13 dogfight kills on the first day I flew it and is utterly impressed with both platforms. This Valentines Day no matter the weather outside, me and my GF are having dinner in front of my dual monitor setup watching a sunrise while parked in upper orbit. And there better be no asshole shooting at me while my ship is hovering there dammit. LOLOL...
