My internal and external weights sit in a parts bin these days. I didn't need them for balance and I don't notice any practical difference in recoil when shooting if the rifle weighs 1 or 2 pounds more. I did notice the 1 or 2 pounds when carrying or moving the rifle. light weight plastic wings like those 3D printed ones you have are probably a better attachment than weights for PRS stuff.

ZCO527, spuhr, Ckye, 26” HV, maverick, and two sawtooth long aluminum weights. I put the aluminum weights on for bag stability and it matches the feel and balance of my Terminous Zeus in an ATX chassis. On the Zeus setup I run a long and short steel sawtooth weight to get it up to 23#.
Both guns are identical, minus the action and the use of steel or aluminum weights

Day 1, start to finish. Picked it up from the local FFL on the way to my range, unpacked it and mounted the scope, cleaned the barrel, bore-sighted, zeroed, and worked it out from 100 to 1147 before stopping. Celebrated at home later.
