I think it’s quite a bit older than that. Seems like the record idea was in (minor) play in the late 50s-60s.

Oh I remember the Muntz 8 Track bolted under the dash in the '69 Chevy Wagon.

Those speakers are the old JBL L100 bookshelf speakers. I bought them while in the Army then later bought the JBL L300 studio monitors before they were discontinued. Awesome speakers.
