The only thing scarier is when the damn thing is on fire inside! BTDT and amazed that I’m still here. ALWAYS have a good escape rooted!
I used to do pretty much exactly that to one of my brothers friends in highschool. It didn't usually calm the little guy down, especially if he had been drinking. But at least what he makes up for in stature he makes up for with brute force and ignorance. Not much has changed in the last 25 or so years either.
I can hear some liberal punk somewhere saying "Maybe that's how he sees the world"
Never got to ride in a helo but is this guy was the pilot Id want to do it on an empty stomach,
Helicopter physics is sorta crazy. Good video playlist from Smarter Every Day explaining it.
A guy that I work with flew RC helis for a long time and says the same thing. He finally got fed up with wasting the enormous amount of money required to keep the fucking things runningOne of the most frustrating toughest hobbies I ever learned was RC collective pitch helis. Very satisfying when it all clicks though.

Ask for it by either name here and people used to know what you wanted. It has been a long time since I bought any and the younger generation may not know what it is no matter the name."Coal oil" around these here parts....

The slightest bobble with a heli, even just tipping a blade into the dirt on take-off, is expensive. It's why I never got into really big helis. A set of blades for a 700 class are over $100 alone, ignoring everything else that needs replaced/rebuilt.
