They are every where. Deep in the desert near imperial tx, they were raiding my friend’s shrimp ponds. On the beach at Corpus, I was throwing them cat fish to keep them out of my bait. I’ve seen them in the Sierra and on both coasts.

I wish ours was open that early. I go with a buddy from work. We refer to it as "going to the paint store" since it's conveniently located next door to a Sherwin Williams.
Got stuck working out of town for 3 months, 7 days a week 1800-600. We finally wised up and bought a big bottle of Tito's so we could make use of the free cranberry juice at the hotel breakfast bar. The amount of dirty looks we got in small town MS was something to behold.
