It's actually worse than that. Inflation is calculated year on year. So if it a $10 item went up 10% it is now $11. The next year's inflation is 8% and that is calculated on the $11 not the original $10. .08 X 10 = .8, .08 X 11 = .88

Anyway....heart doctors are busy busy right now. I guess they are just catching up from the 2020 backlog when no one went to a doctor for 2 years.
Also....my heart is top notch, better than average for my age. To say the doctor was impressed is an understatement. As a parting shot, as I left her office: "Eggs are good for you doc, the whole thing not just the whites."

I can relate. Open heart surgery 15 years ago. They had me on a cocktail of meds. Over the years I studied the long term effects of the meds. Started getting off of them. I still take a few of the old meds that have been around 50 years. Few side effects. Saw my cardiologist last week. As usual he wants me to research some wonder drug. I did not take the shot or other preventative shots. Figure, at 73 years old, I will die of old age or the actions of some low IQ idiot doing something stupid. God has a plan and when he is ready, he will call me. My affairs are probably 95% in order.
All the water that was contained by the dams being removed stayed within the Klamath River basin. The one thing that that is generally hidden from the public is the dam on the Trinity River (tributary of the Klamath) which will not be removed. That dam diverts up to 3200 cfs of water through a tunnel from the Klamath River basin into the Sacramento River basin, which ends up being used for irrigation in the Central Valley and drinking water in Los Angeles, among other things. Maybe when Central/Southern California stops stealing Klamath basin water, there might be less of a salmon problem.
