Austin is very much left leaning. Dallas isn't safe, either. So I can see the difficulty there. Maybe.... Maybe... Houston and environs. Or maybe somewhere in Tenn. I'd love for it to be in FL, but I'm not liking the choices there, either. Maybe Tampa Bay or something.

I read an interview with Shirley Temple, this is when she was a child star. She had been loaned out to Warner Brothers and her and her mother went into the head offices. The mother goes into one office, and she is to go onto another office. She gets inside the office and there is a man standing totally nude. I don't remember just who it was, but a real big shot at MGM. She said this is the first time she saw an adult male nude, she was not sure what to do so she started laughing. The guy got real pissed and ordered her out of the office.

A few things I want to comment on with your post. They don't need to manipulate the media, the media is in on it.
As to the conservative in hollyweard, I have wondered that as well. But here lately we have seen a few movies come out that have had a conservative message behind it. Nefarious and Sound of Freedom come to mind.
Before these two movies most "Christian" movies just fat sucked. I saw an interview asking someone in that specific line of business just why that is. They have the money to hire any star they want, to fund any location or effects they need, why do they all have horrid acting and bad sets. They said they make the movies for Believers. Well that is a huge part of the problem, and I think with the examples I listed above show that even with the pushback those two movies got they did very well. It is time to keep pushing.
Very good clips, this shows just what good actors can do with this. We need more of this, it needs to make it to the main stream again. The second clip is one of the most powerful scenes I have ever seen....might be the single most. That actor deserved top awards for that, but we do not reward telling the truth.

I want to see good drama where the villain gets theirs by a homeowner or concealed carrier that does it "right." The best way to teach others how to do it right is to provide examples of how it's done right. Also good training classes, etc. I also want to see good "fiscal conservative" education on Capitalism and how that's supposed to work. And also what Socialism really is and how bad it is.
