Tough to find when they fuck off into low-earth orbit, because G3 ejection pattern generally 20+ feet "over that way".

But, I'm picking up what you're putting down. Lesson learned.

It’s an H&K design and that’s how their chambers were for that time period.

I had a P7 that ejected cases 15’ away every time. Same striations on the cases. Didn’t love it and moved it in. Shoulda kept it I guess.

Yeah, apologies. I guess I was kinda being a shitheel about it. I thought about it and I can see where on the fourth round, you would have gone "Ruh Roh". Then, hindsight is 20/20. You kinda have to "admire" HK for being able to fling brass two to three times further than any other manufacturer. Their ability to fling brass to the tree line/weeds is pretty remarkable.

But, as they say, always start at least 10% below max charge and work your way up.

Or, if you don't shoot the G3 that often, maybe factory ammo is the way to go.

Be safe Bud. You have a beautiful Fiancee who really shouldn't have to feed you out of a pudding cup . It's kind of a Cinderella story that we all want the best for the two of you. The two of you have a very bright future together.

I reload for MP5/MP5K/94's but I don't have any experience with 91's/G3's reloading.

I reload once fired 9mm range pick up brass. But, what I WON'T do is reload once fired MP5/K/94 brass due to the extensive fluting. Once fired 9mm range pickup brass is so cheap that it's not worth the risk of failures of once fired MP5/K brass.

Yeah I have a PTR 9kt (MP5k clone) with a Surefire Ryder and #28 locking piece. I have so many thousands of 1x or new 9mm brass that I'm not worried about reloading fluted shit.


When I got this PTR-91 I also sourced ALL the 308 brass I could here in the PX. 1-2x bolt action fired stuff. I have enough [for now ] we'll see how things go.
