If there is no punishment or consequences enforced, there really are no laws per se. Any civilized society will break down under the circumstance, and that is the intended purpose here. Social anarchy. DAs and Judges that refuse to prosecute severe crimes or uphold the law and mandatory sentencing, are worthless and actually counterproductive to justice system. And it's just purely insanity that allows installation of judges who've never seen a single day in law school, which is another thing they are doing.
7. You obviously don't have a good foundation of what Judeo Christian values are. I feel sorry for you and I hope you find Jesus. Organized religion is part of the problem, not part of the solution when churches step out of their boundaries and insist on false interpretations of His word.

Wasn't trying to put you on the spot but with regards to your response- I will try to be truthful with you (lord knows there's a shortage of that, not just on the internet but in the world).

(1) not defending the ACA, frankly I hold the opinion that it was the single most detrimental piece of legislation ever passed by Congress with only the Patriot being a distant 2nd.
(2) I understand the remarks but yes- on the very last day of the mandate I succumbed and got the J&J shot (against my better judgement and personal beliefs) because my my wife was at the time unemployed due to this and while we prepared financially, we both would have been unemployed if I didn't swallow my pride. Take that as you will- I'm still angry about it but that's the truth of the matter and one of us needed to fall on the moral sword to keep the groceries coming in.
(3) You didn't mention as far as I can see.
(4) I don't disagree with you but would only state targeting children is part of the strategy. Remember Scruff McGruff or Mr. Yuck- same reasons.
(5) Ok- nothing on my end I want to argue against, I agree (5) You're 100% on point but I would suggest that Trump has little to do with it is all. I remember probably over 20 years ago when the news publicly stated that they'd stop showing mug shots of suspects because it promoted racism. I also remember the aftermath of Columbine and the same news stations promising to not cover such stories in unison because it perpetuated the fame that copy cat shooters may follow. Neither promised was worth the paper it was (presumably) printed on.
(6) I don't think (?) I argued with you on your comment for this point. Didn't I originally say, I don't have an intelligent or logical explanation for this topic?
(7) For arguments sake, how about we let Jesus sit this one out? If that's your thing, I honestly and truly mean this, but I'm happy for you and you won't see me attacking you for your Christian beliefs. As I mentioned previously, that was my upbringing as well (albeit under the Catholic umbrella) and it's ok. It just didn't "stick" with me and I'm not going to apologize for that anymore than I'm going to give you any crap for your own religious beliefs. I sincerely believe that faith likely makes you a more productive member of society than many of our citizens. If you want to pray, then rock on brother I'm not ever going to stop you.

Its absolutely not taken personally - because I was in denial myelf about the direction our government was taking 10+ years ago. I knew there was corruption, but I didn't realize our government was no longer following the Constitution, and there existed the fourth branch of government that actually had power over the other three. After a few events, Snowden, IRS targeting under Lerner, etc. made it pretty darn clear. Now they aren't even hiding their agenda.

Its not directly personally towards you - I'm guessing you are probably at least 20 years younger than me so I have a little life experience here, and what frustrates me is when groups of individuals together give an outright tyrannical government a "pass" in their totalitarian actions and you turn a blind eye - you are smart enough to see it, you are here in the Pit and you have access to the information you need to process reality, but you have blinders on and "just want to give them the benefit of doubt".

Maybe you glow, you post memes left and right that are not consistent with what you were saying - there is a quite sharp incongruity and I have noticed this before. It's kind of funny I just got a message "do you really want to like this post"? Just wow, never had that happen before. Maybe you're trying to set us up with these memes, that's kind of sad if that were to be the case. My strong gut/gestault is you very well might glow; and hence you have to think this is the best or maybe even only way to provide your family security - in which case I can only tell you that this is all, ALL, an issue of a battle of two principalities and you can only serve one master. Why are they putting globalists agenda over those of US citizens, as is happening IDENTICALLY in lock step with Europe and Canada? I firmly believe that this country and the Constitution it was founded on made it the greatest country in the world for over two centuries. It almost seems like the founding fathers thought of everything when they created the balance of powers. But here we are when that has been ignored, we see the consequences. I have pretty much lost all hope in ever having this country return to the once great nation it was. This one is just saying Trump doesn't want mail-in votes. This makes me think that PA will do its thing electronically this year.

Tucker interviewed the guy who was sentenced to prison over his meme. The guy that went to prison suggested in 2020 that Biden supporters can just vote by text - and HRC took HUGE offense to that (he was only prosecuted after Joe took office). There was a woman that same week that posted the exact meme expect directed to Trump voters, that they could vote for Trumo by text, she never even was investigated, but I want to be 100% clear we do not have a two-tiered justice system.

I figured you were just having an off day and didn't want to play Bear Pit shenanigans and kick you while you were feeling down. I wasn't having that great of a day myself and just got off the phone with a fellow vet that I called to vent about similar day's nonsense but I'm feeling much better myself and hope you are as well.

I don't mean to belittle your post- but feel like my next comment is going to do just that and I'm sorry. LOL. You can no more "enslave" a lab grown brain than you can a dog. It's enslaved by the fundamental nature of what it is.

This is the next step in computers (as theorized by hundreds of Sci-Fi writers) that could actually lead to a real AI (not a machine learning algorithm that mimics a consciousness).

There are lines that are being crossed, and as with all science there have to be ethical standards. I disagree with the article that any bright lines are crossed here. The organiods are oceans apart from a clone or anything you could call a human being. Maybe one day there will be and the ethical questions it raises will be real..., but they aren't today.

The thing that sticks out to me on this thing is that these lab grown brains respond to pain and pleasure and adjust action’s accordingly. That seems to be some (albeit minor) form of sentience as it indicates very basic survival instinct or free will. If that grows and is combined with a true AI I could see bad juju.

Yes, and if charcoal, saltpeter, and sulfur are combined and then ignited it could make an explosive that could be bad juju.

This is the reality we have. God made all the rules and science and physics is simply finding them out one by one. To me there is no technology that is inherently either good or evil. It just is, and God also gave us this insatiable hunger to learn and explore and understand. It seems an intrinsic part of what we are, and if we glorify Him, and follow His commands, and His morality, and endeavor to be a part of His justice, we have nothing to fear. It's when men try to create their own morality and their own justice that things run off the rails.

The combination of the organic and the circuit is the next obvious step. It's happening across the board. It will happen. Just like the "AI" algorithm it is going to happen whether we participate or not. We ought to embrace it and be at the forefront of it rather than letting someone do it who may be creating their own morality. To me it's like trying to stop time.
