Badass in looks, iconic, and weight is easily adapted to by someone who puts their heart and mind into using one.
Only modern modification it needs is a reflex sight or RD optic. Only further recommendation I can think of to make it better would be that a 9mm version would offer a kit that is not only classic, but also able to run on widely available fuel in the case of long term SHTF, like the Henry Homesteader carbine.
The Auto-Ordnance M1A1 Thompson reproduction has gone above and beyond to make an ICON available to the everyday shooter and PCC adherent. Cigar/pipe, Stetson, shirt, drover's jacket, and wood plank porch not included, though the "Justified" package will greatly compliment anyone firing an M1A1.
