But we all know pistol grips better

Did you finally move on from 308?
No still on .308 Factory ammo... once this barrel is getting on a bit I MIGHT move to 6.5mm and start reloading.. but i need to get some money together before I do that.
The windage knob made me hate mine and sold them all, good scopes especially pr2 mil reticle
Replaced mine with the DI Precision Turret.. colour matched perfectly and makes it much easier to line up.. but it is still a little odd.

I did fuck up on one stage with the .25 wind holds.. was supposed to hold .3 and went across to the 3rd line which was obviously .75 🤦‍♂️ fortunately I noticed my mistake after the first round sailed on past the plate into the dirt 😅

Dearest AI,

Your fuckin AXSR trigger cam suck a fucking donkey dick sideways.

Sincerely,

This Guy
Are you cussing the stock AXSR trigger, or the Comp trigger? I’m a huge fan of the trigger in my AXMCs, and I haven’t had a problem with the one in my AXSR (yet), but I don’t trust it like the AXMC trigger yet, either.

The AXSR trigger is its own thing and the only trigger for the AXSR as far as I’m aware.

Two triggers. The first was 3,000% my bad as it went down at 4,200rds with no cleaning out here in the desert.

The spare trigger was put in 1,000rds ago…and has been cleaned/flushed each time I cleaned the rifle (every 200~ rds).

So here I am…ripping it back apart fuckin 2 days before regionals 😂🤣😢🥲☹️

I'm still pissed they decided to screw with the OG trigger for the ASR (cost them the contract) and AXSR. For the AXSR, they claim it's the same OG trigger in a new housing to fit the AXSR, BUT it can be adjusted to a lower pull weight (don't need it, don't want it), and for some reason people are experiencing failures like you when they didn't with the old trigger.

What exactly happened to yours both times?

its seems what could be is still burdened by what has been.

Right????
Yea I don’t want or need an adjustable trigger and I was disappointed when I bought it that the OG trigger was never an option. …so I bought a spare just in case.

So the firing pin de-cocks as I run the bolt forward. Slow, fast, pressure left/right/up, etc.

Triggers both blown out with brake cleaner and lighter fluid with an air compressor multiple times. Went back to just lighter fluid, seemed to last longer/better (not saying much) than brake cleaner.

Contacted MH AI repair center so I’ll get my OG sent off soon and then send off the spare once it’s back.

Might buy an ultrasonic soon to maybe help really get any fine sand/shit that the flush/blow isn’t getting. …that and fuck cleaning brakes and BCGs by hand in 2024 😂

But yea, was about to fuckin chuck the rifle into the woodchipper and buy a bergara, like a pro.

Does the OG trigger fit the AXSR?

Anyone have an AXMC LE? Interested in the updates to the AXMC LE versus the commercial AXSR. I’m familiar with the differences between the MC and XR, but specifically the LE

Only diff are 20mos top rail vs 30 moa on the og
Integrated arca on the magwell and forend
Le stamped on the port side

That's it

What's the going rate on take of 6.5creedmoor barrels from all the atx/xc rifles? Trying to decide if I want to just get one or buy a blank (I do my own work but metric is a tallywacker pincher on my lathe)

Depending on if you get any kind of discount, it is close to $1K or about $925 or so for a factory barrel from the vendors by the time taxes and shipping are done.

You can also get a prefit from Proof. If you do the Expert Voice thing, they are about $300 less than a factory barrel.

My last barrel I got done was a 1:7.5, .237 Krieger that I had Matt Stewart do up for me in 6GT. Cost was pretty comparable to just getting a factory barrel. I trust Matt's work a lot more, but my two AI factory barrels shoot great too. Cost was like $440ish for the barrel, $325ish for the chambering and another $90ish for Cerakote. It is a frigging hammer. Obviously if you do your own work, you're saving about $450-500 by just getting a blank vs. getting a factory barrel.

New take offs 600ish

I just want to report that I thought that I was being très witty when I made up the phrase, “tits ahoy” in a different thread.

Two secs later while smugly googling to confirm, I found someone, a gdamn porno director, beat me to it by 20 yrs. Sigh. Nothing under the sun is new.

And yes, apparently IMDB might have plot summaries for pornos now (if someone fills them out).

Wow.

A 26” barrel in .308 Winchester made by AINA / Bartlein / Tooley was worth $799 pre - tax, retail - from EuroOptic, in 2016.

1) I realized later that he said "take off", and my post was rather useless. Even more than usual.

2) Yep, everything has gone way up. I just saw a video title along the lines of "My $12,xxx PRS Rifle" by Phillip Velayo (sp) on YouTube. Good for the guys that want to go that route. It ain't me though.
