Yes. What you see gets driven by the algorithm. What you are watching doesn't send the signal of young, impressionable youth that can be manipulated to undermine the government. So, you are not identified as an impressionable target. That's why you don't see that stuff.
And I don't mean the way we often approach undermining the federal government by wanting a return to originalism and states' rights with less federal power. I mean in the sense to hate the USA and the constitution, feed them opinions about the electoral college being racist and corrupt, all manner of things that are all negative and the like to take us further and further away from the founding fathers ideals.
TikTok allows China to feed soft propaganda to the impressionable people. They identify impressionable people based on what they watch. If they watch something gently anti-American they can feed some stuff a bit more anti-American and drip by drip change opinions to hating the US. You want to know why Meta & Alphabet (Facebook & Google) are so heavily invested in AI? Because it allows them to do the same thing, only better than before.

Minor aside: Its not the content on tik tok. Its the fact that it is an arm of the Chicoms and you are giving them all your info (including passwords) for free.
