Its for a suppressor from AI that we don't get in the US. I don't think anyone makes another suppressor that will fit that specific mount over the brake. Its the same one they use on the L115A3.
BTW, no need to upgrade. Those are great rifles.

The lock/breech rings are shipping out tomorrow. It’s funny that they’re going to beat the triggers that I ordered (paid in full) from MHSA before the rings.

No. The hook will be on the sling that you would purchase separately. See attached link for AI sling with hook. Other manufacturers make slings with these hooks or you can buy them separately to put on a sling of your choice. Same method you would need to use to mount a sling to your AE.
