I lived in Happy Camp for a few years. I could write a fucking book.
Start at the base of the neck and keep going “up” until you get to wash the other side of the neck.
Drums to the left and the Grateful Dead to the right. I was there on a fire when Jerry died and the whole town went into mourning. In reality, it showed how much the band gave back to those who supported them.
In all honesty, I prefer jobs out there than jobs in the Bay Area. You know where you stand with the residents of the North State, for good or ill. And everyone acknowledges you.
Some of the best people I have ever known lived there. Some of worst sub-humans I have ever known lived there as well.

A whole lot of truth in that statement.
I worked for four years out of a community called Big Bend. There was as sticker on the sign that said “ For such a Small Town we have so many assholes”.
With the size of the town, the asshole stand out that much more. I still prefer a small town, because we look out for each other. Even the assholes.
I've got friends with family in the area. Pretty fair assessment!
I worked out there years ago when I was just getting started in the trade. Definitely a mind your business kind of a vibe.
