Accuracy International Picture Thread

Paint it any colour you like, so long as it's green.

How much does the rifle weigh as pictured? The barrel doesn't look super fat, but balance looks good.

I'll have to report back on the weight, I don't know it off the top of my head. The barrel is just a factory 6.5 barrel. It does really well with the 2 sets of weights up front, but I'm hoping to be able to remove one set after I switch to a Proof comp contour.

I'm guessing the full length internal forend weights?

Coul easily go heavier with a fatter barrel and some steel butt spacers of you felt the need. 24lb is a good spot to be in.
The comp contour will definitely add some weight to it but I'll also probably remove some of the fore-end weights when it comes time. When I first started PRS my rifle (JAE chassis with a Tikka action, not my AI) was pushing 30lbs, I'm not about that life anymore haha But yes I do have the full-length weight up front which might have to be moved around to play with the balance.

There was a time when Mile High would call you to say, “…your lefty’s here!”

Now, they’d politely take your name and number - but nothing ever follows.
It really depends on who you get when you call. Some of the rifles just are not available anymore. If you ever have a question you can ask me and I will just ask the owner directly ( If I do not already know ).

Not just that, Kent.

Simple inquiries - like, can you order stock sides for the old AT rifles, etc.

Went through this routine with three separate people six months ago for the above - very polite, volunteered my number, but nothing came of it.

Same issue with bolt bodies, twice last year.

Chances are in every case they all came to me for the info and then either forgot to call back or did not want to deliver bad news. That is part of the reason I am posting on here now. I have access to all that info and I give enough of a **** that I do want to help folks.

Sometimes the answer is also we just do not know because we have not been given the info from the manufacturer. Getting things for ATs for example has gotten progressively harder over time. You can always call me directly. If I do not already know the answer I will walk into Dianns office and try to get the most up to date info possible.

With a lot of the civilian legacy rifles like the AT many of the people who work here have not seen one before because they were all sold before they started. I am here to try to help. PM for my phone #. I am not sure if they want me just throwing it out there.

PM sent, thanks.

Kent is the man. He’s helped me a lot over the years. Even when my gun sat in the hurricane water at a UPS hub for a week. He’ll probably know who I am just by saying that lol.

LOL how is the AT treating you? Yours may be the last skins I ever see. Those AT skins are hard to get now.

Will we ever see the AT available again? Is the AT LE still available for law enforcement purchase? I also heard rumors about the regular AT still being available for law enforcement?
Since I do not work for AI I cannot say for certain, but I can say right now there is only one civilian AT in the building. I did my best to sell all the others. I doubt there will be more AT civilian rifles, but no one knows but AI.

The AT-LE is in fact still here and available to anyone with proper Mil / LE creds. Of course the AT-LE has the AX back end on it but it is pretty darned sexy.

Mil/LE includes retired and honorably discharged?

So if I have a pulse, and a DD214 with an Honorable Discharge, I can buy an AT-LE?

I ask as your website says retired.

-Stan

It appears so according to my LE guys. email me creds to [email protected] and I will take them over and triple verify. But if you are retired Mil and can buy a gun you should be good. I am going to play Dad for now so I will be back in the morning.

I am asking for the group / thread more so than myself.

I am an honorably discharged veteran but not retired military.

If the AT-LE can be purchased by an honorably discharged veteran, that will take some of the sting away from discontinuing the AT for civilian sales.

Enjoy doing he dad thing!

Absolutely phenomenal. Been messing with different scope options.

NF, ZCO, TT and S&B belong on AI’s

Leupold belong on Barrett’s

I was waiting for that sentence to end with pr2 mil but it ended up with disappointment.

I like mk5s except the insufferable windage turrets

I'm not entirely sure Accuracy International understands just how loved the AW and AT308 are. But, they have to look at their own sales numbers. All said, I can only hope they do consider doing special runs every year or the likes so that younger generations can get their hands on this famed rifle.

no special runs. one day I'll want to sell the many AWs i own to finance my retirement. dont blow it for me, Gene!

i need a parts list to convert my AT from LE stock to thumbhole.
I'll gladly take your AX Buttstock off your hands if you do.

I am pretty sure in the past you had to be retired, just having served with an honorable discharge wasn't enough to meet the requirements. If that has changed then I might put in for an AT-Mil/LE.
This was definitely the case, even with my MIL credentials on file at MHS and my wanting an AT-LE. Or even an AXSA that, for whatever reason, the model being a MIL/LEO exclusive only through them.

I just verified again that an Honorable discharge with supporting credentials is enough for purchasing the AT-LE. I must be clear that that rifle is the old AT with the AX back end and not the new LE short action based on the AT-XC. I am trying to get everyone accurate information.

Thank you!

Honorable Discharge only -- military retirement not required.

This is great news!

This is a definite change in policy from as recent as the beginning of this year. I'll be reaching out to inquire.

Will at-xc be available for mil?
I was told that new AT-XC versionLE rifle is just for department purchase.
Thank you!

If anyone wants more info I can give specific contact info for my LE guys. I actually do Dealer sales here so I do not generally process LE / Mil orders ( unless huge for ADS types ) so I will have to put each person in touch with an LE guy, but I am here to get good info to folks and get them to the right person.

It may be a change or perhaps it was not well explained previously? I am not sure. If I have a question I just get up and go ask the Mil / LE dudes.

When are the LH Sage Green AXSRs coming in?
