Funny, I was just talking with another member here yesterday who also runs a 33XC barrel in his AXMC with a single shot sled, now thinking I need one as well. I already have a 300PRC barrel for my AXMC, and have been thinking about doing either 300 or 338 Norma but decided either of them wasn't enough of a performance increase over the 300PRC to justify purchasing the barrel/brass/mags. 33XC on the other hand seems to be a significant jump up in performance and looks worth the cost and effort. I know the 33XC will be single load only, but that's OK by me. How's it working for you?
Anyone have any pics of an AXSR with an 18" barrel, or does it have to be 18.5" to clear handguard??
Its a nice cartridge and I have had hits out to 2800 with it using 300gr smk's, I am not sure if I will continue since barrel life is relatively short as far as match accuracy goes. The barrel in the picture went south during last weekends match but it is still fun to play with out to around 1400. I now have my 300NM barrel back on and will use it for this season of matches. The 300NM rocks when using 245 bergers at 3050fps.
18.5", 18" would be very close if running suppressed.
Been playing with the Grey Ops 6GT AW mag in my AT-X. So far, I'm 50 for 50 without having a feeding issue...which is way better than what I was getting for reliability out of the two factory mags I've got. Still, 50 rounds isn't enough to brag about yet. However, it is making me like the 6GT again in my rifle.
I started to try to make another shitty video of my shooting over the course of the afternoon, but got tasked with 'honey dos' partway though. However, the wifey decided to hang out with me later on and do some shooting of her own with the rifle. She did great (about 1.25 MOA @ 650) considering the wind had picked up. I tried my best to call wind for her, but it was a constant shift between .4 right and .4 left mostly headwind.

Mirage sucked, but I got lucky with the first 5 rounds trying to remember my dial up.
Then I tried 5 more after coming down a tenth. I missed a couple slight speed changes, and the target told me so. I have zero excuse...the mirage was potent today.

Which army is this? Initially thought it was a G22A2 but this has a taller rail and different bits on it.

Looks to be the kind used in the photo shared by mr_fullmetal. I had heard of that bipod mount before but simply in passing. It looks to be different to the more common handstop with integrated bipod mount, with no rail at all on the forend.

The PH Spigot bipod as shown could be fitted into the original Hand Stop for high angle shooting. Asked for by SBS / SAS when they developed the L96 for Airliner operations in the Counter Terrorism Role.
It looks like they have removed the sling swivel from it though.
The handstop with integrated bipod mount is slightly different. I think this is a unique block that is welded onto the chassis in lieu of the plastic block that forms part of the stocksides.
The PH bipod and AI’s own mount design were only adopted with the introduction of the AW so not sure about your SAS/SBS connection, but I may be wrong.
My old AXSR with an 18.5" proof barrel. I'd imagine an 18" might work with the right suppressor + mount combo. In the example below, the AAC TiTan shrouds over the brake/collar pretty well so there isn't a lot of exposed muzzle device.

"Oh yeah? So you're telling me that you shot at least 5 (and more appropriately 10) 5-shot groups and averaged them out to be 0.XX MOA? I doubt you did. I bet more likely than not, you shot one group that was 0.XX MOA and declared -against every statistical "law" in existence- that that was your rifle's actual capability."
Yeah, I'M THAT GUY. IT'S ME! I hate it when people claim accuracy based on one (or less than 5) groups. The only thing worse is when people claim that 3 shot "groups" count. They do not.
With that said . . . . I shot the best 1,000 yard group of my life yesterday. Unfortunately, it was on steel and not paper (which is another grounds for disqualification when declaring accuracy capability). But it (again, 5 shots) measured 1-13/16" inches. I followed it up (with a 20 minute range break in-between) with another group where the first four shots were within 3.6" (0.34 MOA), but the 5th frustratingly ended another 2.5" up (being frustrated with a 0.573 MOA group at 1,000 is pretty great).
I forgot to take phot of the rifle, but it's my AXSA with its "practice" (not even the "good" one) 6.5CM Barrel. 140 Berger Hybrids in Lapua Brass (about the 16th firing on the brass), 43.2gr H4350 (velocity 2787 fps) . CCI BR4 Primers. S&B PMII (the "de-milled military 5-25 version). Elite Iron BiPod. TBAC Ultra 9 (6.5).
It doesn't look like 5 shots, but it is.

@DKN83 if no one has an easy answer for you I'll tear my two back halves apart and test it for you. It will be a AT rear testing a long action AICS back half.
Only the magazine part is different on the AW/AWM skins. Dremel away.
If it's any help, the rear end on OG AW skins with a factory fitted monopod looks like this. Only the magazine bit is different for an AWM as others have pointed out.
