Maggie’s Funny & awesome pics, vids and memes thread (work safe, no nudity)

So this lady is on her lunch break and steals a pair of shoes from Dicks Sporting Goods. The employees recognize her because it's a small town and she's in her work uniform...as a police officer…

I’ll bet it has one of those newfangled passenger side mirrors.
Nope. It wasn't even an option when originally sold. It is the classy model driver side mirror though. The little joystick near the vent window still works and it has the cranks for the vent windows. We're talking about first class options here

For a lot of electrical problems(not dash warning lights) you can get a long way with a battery charger and a simple voltmeter

Most of the fears about vehicle electronics is a little overblown
The next time I have the gauge cluster out of my 86 Pontiac all the bulbs will be removed except for turn signals and night illumination. The aftermarket oil pressure, volt and temp gauges under the dash are all that's needed. Plus I removed the ECU and all of it's wiring a while ago so the service engine light is always on.

I like 80s/90s early 2000s cars and trucks for daily use. Most have good options that make using them regularly a pleasure, have a little panache and are still easy to fix….especially Japanese stuff.

I get lots of conversations at fuel pumps and other places about my 4Runner and Ram. People like em.

I would love to have an 80s Celica or Supra.

No freeloading…

Had an '85 Celica GTS. It was the last year of the RWD Celica. I had it until around '98, then it went to my Mom, then back to me, and ultimately to a good friend for his son. It had some rust issues that they took care of, last I heard it was well over 400,000 miles and still kicking.

This rolled into the range today. Near mint condition, right hand driver, diesel. A real head tuner, the guy imported it as an antique so it cleaerd customs. Why cant we have nice things.

Ran into a guy at my local range that had imported a 4x4 diesel right side drive Toyota van. It was ugly, but kind of cool at the same time.

Toyota has eaten pretty much everybody else's lunch. I have a 2022 Corolla Hybrid that averages 54 or so and gets close to 500 on a tank. Havent had a bit of problem so far.

They will shake your teeth loose

They are not slow anymore, they have a V8 turbo diesel
In like 20 years those will be even cooler though.

I’m already looking at the possibility of importing a Merc anything with their V8 biturbo diesel. My heart really really wants a G-class but I’d settle for an E400 cdi
