Can anyone recommend a good decently priced soft case that will fit a fixed stock AR-10 with a 20" barrel and large scope? All mine won't even fit a 15 and 18" barrel.

I thought they were cheap when I bought them years ago (although they seem to have gone up in price) but my Voodoo rifle cases have been packed full of heavy rifles and lots of ammo. Never any issues.

For me, “decently priced” means $85-$100 because the cheap cases I’ve bought have fallen apart.

What does it mean to you?

It says they are no longer available, there are 2 versions listed, backpack style and traditional style, which version do you have? Pictures?
I have the backpack style (3) - they fit inside the Pelican Storm case without inserts. They are special order. I got mine from B&H photo. They are available in single or 2 rifle. I get the 2 rifle version to store extra stuff in second area.

I have two of these ... they're awesome, and a great value.

I agree.

If you don’t like their curved zipper pulls, the OEM is Bulldog and theirs have regular flat pulls.

Free shipping sometimes available here:

With price as a huge consideration, this bag is reportedly the best next step (not in quality, necessarily, more like in features like backpack straps). Mo’ features = mo’ money. $115 for a 56” bag, $110 for 50”, $90 for 46”.

The 42” is on clearance for $65, but I’m not sure that’s long enough. I don’t own one but in discussions like these, this bag always comes up.

Good, U.S. made. Reasonably priced? That's your call. This company is who Larue uses for their cases. I have one of their smaller cases, and it's holding up good, plus it's customizable with add on internal velcro pouches. You would have to measure you're rifle to be sure of fit for this case linked below. 43" is right at the bottom limit for a full size AR10.

wrbsales multi-operational system

The good news is that there’s a lot of great options out there. I’ll throw another option at you that I like plenty. No affiliation/personal gain to be had- I just like their products is all.

I use Savior and I’m happy w them
Same here. I only use Savior. Also, I can’t stand black rifle cases. Gotta be something other than black. Black rifle cases are like black tennis shoes. They’re cookie cutter, safe picks with for people with zero creativity or fashion sense. Fucking ugly and boring and what everyone automatically buys.

Gotta be fde or, even better, odg.

That is some real first world problems for sure.

lol I buy the multiCam. Yes, they are more expensive but.. in the ones I get, the nylon of the camo is much thicker than solid color ( 1,000 denier vs…I believe 600) and they YYK zippers. I’ve seen reviews that the zippers they use in less expensive bags are a weak point but I have no direct experience with them so dunno.

And here I'm thinking black is the color of nobility.

Made in Vietnam. Sold for $400. They have a store here in ID. I don’t dislike the products but they are steep in price. Have to pay for all the marketing I guess.

These are the bags I buy...and gee, like everything else, they were cheaper before Brandon.

They say for double rifles but no way I could carry two of my chassis guns....but it does have a ton of padding for those expensive rifles and optics.

Seems to be out of stock everywhere at the moment...and I've no clear idea why
