Building Custom 300 PRC - Have Bolt Face Question

So Defiance magnum bolt face is .550, but the 300 PRC case base is .534.

A .016 tolerance seems high to me on paper, but I obviously could be wrong. Is this ok for a standard bolt face vs. the 300 PRC case? Am I being too precise, or is this normal?

Yes, you want magnum. Its normal. Alignment of the cartridge is controlled by the chamber and the bolt face. The bolt face diameter is merely a clearance dimension, and this dimension varies slightly among manufacturers. .016 isnt much, thats only .008 from all sides.
