Accuracy International Picture Thread

I changed my rifle’s skins to the thumbhole version because, because, because - AW and AWSM thumbhole.

How many of you did so because the pistol grip looked like somekinda animal’s scrotum?

Anybody have some pics of accuracy international rifles (AT?) with heavier sporter barrels? Particularly interested in something like a #3b or #4 Bartlein, which are apparently classified as Light Bull and Bull sporters by Bartlein.

Don’t necessarily care about the brand of barrel, just that it’s a heavier sporter. If I get one I wanted to make sure my AT doesn’t look stoooopid.

i mean, i dont care what color it is, that it the GOAT of all grips. i make no apologies about that statement because its 100% true.
I have to agree 👍 I have the same grip on my AT AX… IMG_1881.jpeg

I’m sure it’s in the thread here already but who’s handling the warranty and who did you talk to about it besides them?

I’m not sure who it was at AINA that I’ve been emailing as they no longer sign emails with their name since they’d rather remain anonymous it appears.

I tried going through MHSA but they said I might as well go through AINA since they’d have to order them too as despite their best efforts to find some in their shop they didn’t have any extras.

I ordered a set through Sporting Services UK at the same time so I’m curious if those will come before the warranty replacements from AINA. It wouldn’t surprise me if they do though.

Ok. Sounds typical for AINA. I’ve used MH for several AI items (not warranty) and Kent has gone above and beyond to answer questions and check with armorers in the shop for parts I needed. That would have been my suggestion but seems you’ve tried that already

I’m assuming SS didn’t have them in stock when you ordered? I bought thumb wheel cheek piece screws from them recently and they arrived in a few days

Yeah MHSA tried and I don’t blame them as they are at the mercy of AI/AINA.

I do blame AI/AINA though as there’s no reason whatsoever that they shouldn’t have at least one (or a set if that’s how they come) of every part for every rifle that they support in stock. Colored parts like rails could just be stocked in black to reduce inventory costs.

I guess they figure that you just need to have spare rifles since you may have one down for months because of a small part being out of spec from the factory.

I know I’m ranting a bit but I just can’t believe how bad AI sucks at supporting their products in regards to civilian customers. I’m guessing if I was a LEO or MIL customer this wouldn’t be an issue and I would have had them within a week.

What's the hold up with SS UK?
The item not in stock?

My recent order with then (not to the US) took about a week to arrive.

Whew! Good thing AI doesn't make these anymore....they wouldn't want these guys losing out on this cornered market...

It’s almost like stuff made in the UK gets to UK stores faster than it gets to the U.S. That seems crazy to me.

Look here pal, Jesus Titty Fagging Christ, we had a righteous anger all stoked here! Pitchforks and torches were collected, feverish street preachers wildly gesticulating upon soapboxes to the converted…the feeling was electric man, ⚡️e-l-e-c-t-r-i-c!!!

And here you come, all calm, disinterested, slouching towards Bethlehem with a sly grin, flicking a dry logistical joke like a sparking cigarette at us filthy plebs who are buzzing like flies around the town dump.

🔥BURN HIM, BURN W/BROKEN AI PARTS!🔥

Dude…. I just laughed out loud and my family asked me what was so funny.

Thank you for a much needed comedy break at the end of a long day.

Who gives a shit, really? Transgender stuff.

Here’s a DRMO that I turned into a long action 308.

A 308!

And there’s a 30-06 too. Fuck it.

As it turns out despite no further contact or replies from AINA they must have also received them from AI as I got a FedEx notification that they sent me something.

That tells me that AINA has absolutely no priority for warranty parts or orders in general which I find odd considering they’re the distributor for an entire continent.

Oh well. I guess I have 3 sets of flush cups heading my way now.

Is it possible to get anti rotation cups for the AT?
Last I looked into it, an unverified-in-hand (by me) yes for a third party rear AT, and a no for an AT front. Can’t remember where I found the rear.

I’ve decided to efff flush cups and use BFG uLoops plus Magul’s paraclip adapter; btw they make an mlok paraclip too.

Seems promising after my initial traipsing around the house with my one trial paraclip up front (flush cup on the rear) with the AT. Quieter too.

Also noticed that that middle sling position by the handgrip really balances the load out sometimes.

Now is when somebody pipes up and alerts me to some Sig 320-level uLoop+paraclip failure rate/negligence…please no dear god no🙏

Not really, no. In theory something custom could be made that replaces the side rail mounting plates, but that doesn't exist to my knowledge. The anti-rotation AI QD mount I designed only spans 3 keyslot holes, where the AI side plates span 4 holes, so that wouldn't work either.

Back in the day I designed and prototyped AT front weights with integrated QD cups that fit into the front panels where the AI side plates go, but never made any production parts.

I know I'll get heat for this, but paying anything close to an AI for any clone that uses a R700 is just asinine.
Taking money from people who have more money than common sense or logic is bad why? I mean, if I put my MK13 Mod 5 inspired project up for sale and they want to give it to me that kind of money... far be it for me to turn them down

This must be why I don’t have any money.

This thing is ridiculous. Rang the steel 12x16 inch plate at 506 and 778 yards with so much ease it should be criminal.
