Depending on bullet and what you’re tryna do. 400-500yds isn’t hard but it is really slow at those distances. Iirc I’ve been 600yds with 110gr. I like 200gr+ subs and 1/7twist and stay 300yds and below. Suppressed in a bolt gun it’s stupid quiet, you can hear the impact on a hog over the report.yup, that's what I meant. so what type of rounds to you shoot and how far out is normal for you to shoot with it?
I had a hard time getting the 80s to shoot better than the 87s. I use Rl16 for the 87s and couldn't get the 80s to shoot under 1 moa with it. Switched to H4350 and the faster I shot them the better they grouped.Did you load your own or? Impressive speed
Athlon 2.5-15 Ares BTR Gen 2 with a Bering Optics Super Yoter C Gen2. I ran a minox ZP 5 3-15, but the parallax minimum is 50 yards. The 10 yard parallax on the Athlon and the 2.5x is a huge improvemant with the clip on.What scope are you running there?
3380 fpsThanks - so with the 80s speed is better - what speed did the H4350 yield?
ok, that's actually what I wanted to know so thank you. I think subs will be the primary food it eats but being able to shoot subs or supers is a big plus. What all bullet weights are used? I guess I could use some of my 308 bullets that I don't shoot anymoreDepending on bullet and what you’re tryna do. 400-500yds isn’t hard but it is really slow at those distances. Thanks. Will investigate thatBering Optics Super Yoter C Gen2.
Same as an iRay CH50, but no digital zoom.Thanks. Will investigate that
If you use the digital zoom version, your zero changes when you zoom. With no digital zoom, I just zoom in with the scope. Digital zoom equals less pixals and that makes it blurry.Do you feel the digital zoom is needed or better in some way?
Just for reference my 20” 6mm creedmoor is shooting factory 87gr v-max at 2900fps.Did you load your own or? Impressive speed

I love it! How’s the 8.5” barrel work for the 338 ARC? I’ve considered the round.
Anything over about 7" is kosher for subs. I think we see like 20-40fps MV gain/loss between 7" and 16" usually. Supersonic might be affected more than that.I love it! How’s the 8.5” barrel work for the 338 ARC? I’ve considered the round.
That NightStalker is hot AF

Thanks! I was totally sleeping on the Night Stalker, didn’t even know it was a thing until 2 months ago. It’s literally the perfect stock for me. The Back in Black is dope AF, tho I’m fighting the urge to pant it m81 camoThat NightStalker is hot AF

Believe that's an Elf owl, w/o the buttstock option. What chassis is that ? Weight as is?
It’s a JTAC elf-owl. It ain’t light…lol. I don’t really care for the retractable stock so I went with a Samson SAS it’s really nice. I like it a lot.Believe that's an Elf owl, w/o the buttstock option.
How do you like that Mack bros action? Is it shouldered pre-fit capable?
How do you like that Mack bros action? Is it shouldered pre-fit capable?
I don't have a Mack Bros, but a friend does. He called Mack Bros, and it sounded like the newer actions are 'pre-fit capable', but some/all of the older versions are not. Unfortunately, it sounds like MB wouldn't provide a serial # or any actionable info that could be used to tell which "version" he had. For my friend, his gunsmith just measured his specific action, and now that smith can cut and send however many 'prefits' that action wants. How do you like that Mack bros action? Is it shouldered pre-fit capable?
