I posted a request for advice on scope in a previous thread for SR 25 6.5 14.5"-16" - Based on that input---I narrowed it down to either a Tangent Theta T315P (3-15) with Tremor 3 or SB 5-20 Ultra Short with Tremor. I know the SB has higher magnification and is smaller. I have had SB PSRs but never a Tangent Theta. Another possible concern is warranty issues on SB now perhaps having to go to Germany? I read some who have had both said TT has slightly better glass - better turrets - but not sure of durability? of either though the SB PSRs I had were trouble free. I will be shooting 300-800 yards. Any compromise going with the TT 15x vs SB 20x? Thanks much for the input.

If going to 20 why not add the ZCO 4-20 to the decision pool?
Tangent is the best option available. The other two scopes you mentioned do not have tool-less turrets. Aside from the Tangent, the only alternatives would be the Delta Stryker 3.5-21, which features tool-less adjustments, or the Kahles K328i, which offers the best optical range among all the options discussed.

If tool-less turrets were not considered (which is nice)- what other factors makes Tangent best option in your opinion?
The newly released Kahles K328i features a 40% wider field of view, which is a significant improvement. In comparison, TT315P was released seven years ago and hasn't changed much, but it has proven to be reliable over time. Both scopes weigh approximately the same, so I would likely choose the Kahles over the Tangent. I also firmly believe that all scopes will be tool-less within the next 5 to 10 years.

Thanks. “Reliable over time” for Tangent. What about Kahles? I appreciate eye box. The best eye box I used in the past was Hensoldt.

Our Kahles Rep is going to get back to us as soon as they figure out if and how the tariffs will affect pricing like the Vectronics for example.
I still think the ZC420 is one of the best options for your setup and I’ll be back tomorrow to go over the pros and cons to all those options.
It seems many don’t realize that the Tariffs are still in play for many manufacturers at this time.

I can't comment on the K328i or the K540i because I haven't had the opportunity to examine either model yet. However, I have a TT735P, which offers an excellent eye box. I've heard that the large ocular housing design has significantly improved the eye box compared to its competitors. I've read that it is currently the best eye box available. I am waiting for either the K328i or K540i to appear on the secondary market with the Christmas tree reticle.
In my opinion the K328i and K540i are the best in the game currently.
I've owned the ZC527 and traded it for the TT735P because of the tool-less turrets.
If tool-less turrets aren't your primary concern, Tangent is better than the S&B, and the K328i is better than the Tangent.

There are pre-owned TT315Ps listed for $3,200 to $4,000 regularly. I agree that the ZC420 is better than the TT315P, but not better than the K328i.
