As much I love my AX, I had to get the axsr to complete my AI collection. I mean gotta have AI in short and long action. EO gave me a package deal actually that I couldn’t resist. DE axsr 338 Norma, DE 300 Norma barrel, and TT 7-35 jtac ret. I originally wanted a axsr in 300 nm which we’re out of stock. So I had to go with the sr in 338 nm and get the 300 nm barrel. The scope? Well that wasn’t planned as well, but the total package price was more then just fair. Then I pulled the trigger.

That’s an MTM thing made for just that purpose. I have one. I don’t use the top. It’s pretty awesome, especially if you don’t have space to place a garbage can under the muzzle. Like if you have a long bench or something.
Mainly nice because you don’t have to fish a patch out of the garbage or carefully take it off the jag to look at it so see how clean it is etc.
Forgive me if this has been asked, but has anyone opened up their AT-XC bolts for short action magnums yet? If so, what mags and calibers are you running? I know folks have been converting the AT and AXSA for a while (I owned one).
I’d doubt it as there have never been any spare bolts available for the AT-XC that I’ve ever seen.
You’d have to be really, really committed to make your rifle magnum only at this point I’d think.
Maybe talk to Bugholes? If nothing else, they could discuss feasibility and point you in the right direction.

Definitely no XC bolts, and from the sound of it, none expected in the next year either, due to contracts.

At some point the AT-XC owners will realize that they just got a gen 4 AT-X, along with all of the promised support the previous generations of the AT-X got too. However, the didn't have to source a few of the niceties that most of us gen 1-3 guys had to hunt for. However it cost them ~$600 more for AI to do it.
Everywhere else you bundle and save. AI you bundle and spread cheeks.

Yeh I knew they were the ones doing the most recent conversions that I had heard about. I may just slap a poor mans AI together and put a Zeus in an atx chassis. Even with the extra bolt and 2 barrels I'd likely be cheaper than buying another atxc.

No lies detected. But, as always, we can remain dubiously hopeful lol.
My AT-X is currently wearing its 6CM barrel at the moment and is adorning my kitchen table in hopes to stick a 108 ELD-M into a coyote this evening.
I'm not a hater of the product at all. I just don't like the game.
