My feeling is that I am already on a federal registry, I already paid the ATF tax I'll never get back, and I will survive if it takes another couple of years to get silencers off the NFA. I'm confident it will happen soon even if they blow it this time. But I would like to quit paying income tax on my property tax after paying rental tax right now. Paying tax on money I never saw seems crazy to me, and when the reason I never saw it is that I paid it in tax, it's even crazier.
I used to pay 3.5% in sales tax on commercial rentals, plus property tax, plus income tax on the sales and property tax. Thankfully, DeSantis has cut the sales tax way down.
It's not uncommon at all for landlords to pay $100K+ in property tax. It gets to the point where the government takes so much of your income, it has become your business partner.
If this were about something with a bigger effect, like mandatory reciprocal carry, I'd probably prefer the gun law reform to the tax reform.
