Join contest SubscribeDoes Revic stuff play well with Kestrel and the AB ecosystem?Revic BLR10. Used prices are crazy good. Excellent ranging binos.
Seriously?!! 6K?
To op, no they don’t. Should have thought about that. I never felt the need to use either when using the Revic.
I agree and should have specified, I have Kestrel with AB so integration is key.Sig uses kestrel. Non- AB firing solution from revic is a non-starter
I just contacted Vortex and apparently the 5000 HD AB is also discontinued.... Probably will go with Sig. I could use the AB lite just to connect to my garmin Tactix 8If you don't need full AB and want to stay under $1K Sig Kilo6HDX gen 2 10x42 is better than Fury 5K HD Gen 2. I compared them side by side. Sig ranges faster and has better glass. Also comes with AB lite.
Several matches I've been to have had Sig Cert's could try and win one.Every now and then, you'll see sig certs pop up in the PX here. Those certs will work for the 10Ks
How are you adjusting the laser? I didn't realize you could do this and combed through the manual and didn't see it mentioned unless I skipped over it.In range finding binos, the Sig Kilo 10 K gen 2 is my choice. The optics are a lot better, better clarity and less blue tint, than the gen 1. The laser is excellent as is the onboard AB Elite and linking with other AB devices. The buttons and menus are pretty easy to use, and it’s the only rangefinding bino where you can adjust the LED reticle to closely match the actual alignment of the laser
I’m gonna show my ignorance here. What do PRA shooters look for in a range finding bino? What are their main purpose/function?
My Sig 6k can do 3000 yards on a reflective target no problem, probably further. Basically they aren't limiting my shooting. They are fast and reliable. What’s the typical farthest target they’ll range?

Fuck that, the Revic binos are a better product than any Sig rangefinding bino in every category. Glass, beam divergence, range speed, ballistic solver, form factor etc.Friends done let friends buy revic. Sig 6k

You gotta use the app.How are you adjusting the laser? I didn't realize you could do this and combed through the manual and didn't see it mentioned unless I skipped over it.
Found an old post that outlined it. Going to test it out tomorrow. You gotta use the app.
Worth doing. my adjustment is basically maxed out but I know I’m hitting the target. I’ve used some buddies that haven’t done it and you can tell it’s not spot onFound an old post that outlined it. Going to test it out tomorrow.
I played with it a little this evening. If you go up enough do numbers actually show up next to the vertical/horizontal labels?Worth doing. my adjustment is basically maxed out but I know I’m hitting the target. I’ve used some buddies that haven’t done it and you can tell it’s not spot on
I'm not sure what you mean? in my app there is numbers associated to the correction.I played with it a little this evening. If you go up enough do numbers actually show up next to the vertical/horizontal labels?
Everyone has their own opinion but for me since I switched to 10x binoculars I haven't touched a monocular.....or, you could buy this, which would take care of 95% of your needs:
Buy the LRF and get a kestrel with it at no additional cost!

Binos are bulkier and heavier but I find they are easier to hold stable, have brighter/better glass, the magnification is closer to what your scope is usually set at, and they offer a wider field of view which is better for finding targets and familiarizing yourself with the target area before a stage.
Give Scopelist a call and ask for their best price. They have the Kilo6HDX 8x42 in stock and you might get it for under $700.I agree. Could be cost for some. Perhaps not the topic for this specific post, but a 3K is going to give you some good ability.
Since scope is a priority for now, the price of it is going to dictate what I get for LRF.
Not bad. I will reach outGive Scopelist a call and ask for their best price. They have the Kilo6HDX 8x42 in stock and you might get it for under $700.
That deal is out of stock.
That is what I'm thinking. Just get the 3K and I already have a basic kestrel. I can pull the wind from it and just punch it in my tactix 8.
Also considered buying one of the AB Calypso thingies and just put it next to me on a tripod
Only wind downrange matters.
You have to use the BDX app to make minor adjustments to the reticle. Press a button on the Kilo 10K to turn it on. Once the BDX app is open and paired to your Kilo 10K open up the laser rangefinder section which brings up the menus for your binos. In the upper right corner is the gear icon for Settings, open it up and near the bottom of the settings choices is Reticle Alignment. Open it up and you can use the arrows to move your reticle up to 5 pixels in any direction from the center. On my binos, out of the box the laser was to the left of the center. Using the duplex reticle I was able to adjust the reticle so the right side of my laser is in the middle of the reticle so now if I put the duplex on a target I know the laser ranging off my target and not the ground around it.How are you adjusting the laser? I didn't realize you could do this and combed through the manual and didn't see it mentioned unless I skipped over it.
eh. I feel wind closer to shooting area matters just as much. but you should be able to read wind. Kestrel just gives a good general idea. where I shoot in Florida in berms etc, our wind doesn't change much most the time wind isn't shifting left right/right left where I'm at and values changing.
