Found this little guy/girl on a bike ride tonight. Left out at an abandoned shed in the middle of nowhere. Saw another one on the other side of 50 acres of brush, coudn't get it come come back out. Needs a home.

I have not been able to catch them. I have given them food and water. They will come out to the road and one will bark and howl but I can't get close. If I hang out at the truck and give them 20 yards or so they run to the bowls and eat and drink. They won't starve or dehydrate if I can help it, but theyr'e a little bit ferral. Thinking about taking a big dog cage out with a string tied to the door, food and water inside, pull string and catch puppys.
Cross fingers. Also been kind of busy, so dropping food and water and saying hi is what I had time for today.

I hae still not caught them yet. Yesterday morning they were probably almost 100 yards away when I put out food and water. One of them started running toward me, but then looked back at the other and stopped. Tonight they were laying down next to the bowls when I drove by on my way home. Went back out to give food and water and they ran across the road and hid in the brush. I think they realize I'm good, but they're still skidish.

If you need help($$) with food, treats, etc. Send me a PM.
Kinda of surprised the coyotes haven't found them.
I ran those roads around CC for several years. Miles of nothing but brush or crops.
Our second dog was a stray pick-up in CC back then. He was a garbage disposal on 4 legs. We had him for about 13 years.
Food, treats, shots... no big deal for me. Thank you though. First thing first, I need to get them out of the brush/field.
I'd really like for someone to adopt them and give them a home. I already have 2 dogs in the house and camping with 2 is hard enough. And I already have to fight for a place on my bed at night....

I say people who abandon animals should covered with honey and anchored to an ant hill……but that’s me. 🤷
happens a lot where i live. 3 of the 5 cats i have had were obvious dumps, neutered males had no idea how to eat anything but kibble, most happy to come in the house. get several stray dogs thru the yard but they seem to keep going. lost i expect.

I wish I could help. Our last 4 have been strays/street pickups/rescues. Our current will probably be our last, unfortunately.

My wife gave them water and a few treats this morning. She was hand feeing them and they were ok. Tonight they were hungry so the one hat was more skidish let her pet it while it was eating. She scooped it up and it immediatly wagged it's tail and went limp like i was in heaven. The second one went in a hole and I pulled it out like the ground was giving birth, and then she peed on me.
They are home with us now. 2 bowls of food, big bowl of water, a soft bed next to the shed and there were 2 pink collars waiting for them just in case. Weird that the one that was more skidish is the one that I can pet and pick up. The one that was brave before still comes over and takes treats but doesn't want to be picked up.

So now the search is on. I need a home for these 2.
