I was briefed on but got an in person lesson on helo generated static electricity under a hovering HH-3 Pelican on a deck that was pitching 45 degrees each way in 70 knot winds. The pitching deck and winds didn’t get me but that static from the swinging stokes litter knocked me on my ass.
Thats about tight. When I was living in a tent at the logging site in the Missions we had snow on the 28th. That when I knew this southern boy would not be wintering up there.
So the guy who tried to shoot up the Michigan church… got first run over by a pastor in a pickup truck. Then shot dead by a security guard.
Wayne, MI is not a place to FAFO apparently!
And that dude needed a different line of work!

Funny thing about 2020. Reading the journal from 2020 yesterday evening. We left Louisiana on March 9th to go to Florida to our son’s home to participate in a Senior Olympic cycling race. Covid hit, Florida closed its borders to people from Louisiana. Our son lives alone and would be stuck at home. all perfect storm.
So, went to Florida to spend a couple weeks on March 9th. Did not get back home to Louisiana until June 2nd.
Funny, because I was just noticing that I need to buy TP for the first time since 2021. Not that we were hoarding, but for a few months, whenever a package was available at the store... would buy one. Not 6. One. Whether the old one was done or not. By the time I noticed, had a 5 year supply! Well, there ya go. It doesn't go bad!!!
In fact, I liked not having to think about it so much, I may go to Costco and get a 5 year supply again!
We have a bidet (add on electric type) so that saves TP but we still have to buy some. I bought it when the first TP shortage began several years ago.
