If there is an actual labor shortage that cannot be filled with American workers, then Trump can and should grant temporary work visas to people who get the job done and do not raise red flags in other categories. That is feasible under the current immigration laws and applies to every skill level. There is no need for an "amnesty" and that word should be avoided. We do not want to reward people for breaking the law.
These selected and vetted immigrant are the last people you need to worry about. They will be the first ones to complain if someone tries to step in front of the line through illegal means. I am certain that these LEGAL immigrants account for most of the gains Trump made in the hispanic electorate. And I can guarantee you that the ones coming from failed Socialist/Communist countries will be the most loyal MAGA capitalism supporters.
This country has benefited and will continue to benefit from immigration if and only if that immigration is SELECTIVE. Which is the opposite of opening the door to everyone who wants to walz in.
Compare it to the needs of a company. Not hiring anyone does not make sense. Neither does hiring anybody who has a pulse and needs a job. You want to select for the people who are supportive of your values and mission and have a high likeliness of returning value.

Make it abundantly clear that they do not get indicted for their political leaning but for the fact that they broke their oath to the Constitution and violated general ethical values to advance their personal agenda rather than serving the country and all its citizens with truthful, impartial professionalism.
The best move would be to really hammer some of the worst offenders and then have Trump pardon them (because Big Daddy reigns supreme over petty politics).
