That doesn't quite look like the Salmon, but it could be. Boat headed down steam and the road is on the wrong side.
Here's a video of one of the turbine boats. Once they make the turn at the confluence of the Little Salmon it's a drag race from there to the finish. We camp at Island Bar to watch the final 1/4 mile or so. Damn things are FAST!

I was thinking same...maybe Payette? Clearwater has roads on both sides most of the way from Kamiah but that terrain doesn't really look like the Clearwater until near Lewiston.

EDIT: to say Time Zone Bridge!!!

It is even more fun to run rivers in a white water kayak.

They don't race on the Payette or Clearwater. Timezone doesn't have trees like that along the road there. If you watch the turbine boat video on the run back down the river, it doesn't look like that at Time Bridge.
It could have been over on the Snake, somewhere way downstream from Pittsburgh Landing.

I know they don't hold races on the Clearwater but that don't stop anyone from running a jet boat. That little video, the gif...I didn't think that guy was racing, just fucking up. I was not sure about the Payette.

The reference to Time Zone Bridge and that big sweep just upstream was from the video you posted about Riggins. One of my favorite places on earth. Not long into that video, they drive right under.

But...being downstream from Pittsburgh COULD be possible. There are remnants of old roads from the old guys who disassembled steam tractors to carry them piece by piece up that canyon on mule so they could mine faster. There are several roads in to the river on the Idaho side if you have keys and a high clearance vehicle and some are fairly well mainatained. Getta Creek comes to mind and just not far downstream there is a road on the Idaho side along the river. Trees are still not right. Wrong side of the river for that gif but there are even more roads to the river on the Oregon and Washington side.

Another place that has similar to that little gif is near Eagle Creek on the Salmon River.

It's amazing the control those guys do have at 80-100 mph with 2" of draft.

EDIT: to point out that US95 is on the side of the river between Riggins and Whitebird to be correct for that little gif also
